Caroline Wozniacki will not play in Madrid Open, Italian Open
Caroline Wozniacki announced she she will miss the Madrid Open and Italian Open.
Carolize Wozniacki announced Monday she will miss both the upcoming Madrid Open and Italian Open due to a foot injury.
Wozniacki, the No. 24 player in the world, rolled her ankle during practice earlier this month. She previously withdrew from Denmark’s Fed Cup matchup and this week’s Istanbul Cup.
Wozniacki last played during the Miami Open, where she lost in the third round to Elina Svitolina. Wozniacki has struggled for much of 2016, falling out of the top 20 and exiting early in several tournaments.
