Jim McMahon is remembered more for his part in the Bears Super Bowl Shuffle video, drawing fines from the league office for wearing inappropriate headbands and for mooning photographers. That aside, he had a solid season in 1985, throwing for 2,392 yards and 15 touchdowns. He's the only quarterback to run for more than one touchdown in a Super Bowl.
Mike Ditka took his teams to the playoffs seven times in his 14-year coaching career, none sweeter than the 1985 Bears, who defeated the Patriots 46-10 in Super Bowl XX to finish with a 15-1 record.

The NFL's all-time leading rusher at the time, Walter Payton ran for 1,551 yards to help the 1985 Bears finish first in the league in rushing touchdowns and yards. He gained 61 yards on 22 carries in Super Bowl XX, but didn't score.

The 1985 Bears defense was one of the best in league history, featuring the likes of Richard Dent, Mike Singletary, Dan Hampton, Wilber Marshall and Gary Fencik, and coached by Buddy Ryan. It held the Patriots to one touchdown in Super Bowl XX and scored on its own via a safety and 28-yard interception return by Reggie Phillips (left).

Of all the characters on the 1985 Bears, William "Refrigerator" Perry is perhaps the most memorable. A rookie defensive lineman, he became a novelty when the Bears starting putting him in the backfield as a lead blocker for Walter Payton. The Fridge even scored on a one-yard run in the Super Bowl.
