Super Bowl Champions: 1978 Steelers

The 1978 Steelers capped off a 12-4 season with playoff victories against Miami (31-14) and Houston (27-13) before defeating the Rams, 31-9, in Superbowl XIV. The victory gave Pittsburgh their fourth Super Bowl of the `70s, proving that they were the team of the decade. Terry Bradshaw completed 17 of 30 passes for 318 yards and a record four touchdowns to lead the Steelers to victory.

Pittsburgh receiver Rocky Bleier catches a touchdown with 26 seconds remaining in the second period to give the Steelers a 21-14 halftime lead.

Franco Harris busts through the Cowboys line for a big gain. On the day, Harris finished with a Steelers-high 68 yards and a touchdown.

Harris gets another big gain for the Steelers. On the season, Harris was the team's leading rusher with recording 1,082 yards and 8 touchdowns, while also catching 22 passes for another 144 yards.

John Stallworth breaks through for a 75-yard touchdown reception, one of two TD catches on the day.

Steelers tight end Randy Grossman snags a ball from Terry Bradshaw. Grossman caught three balls for 29 yards on the day.

Lynn Swann breaks free for a touchdown. Swann was one of the league top receivers and didn't disappoint in the Super Bowl, catching 7 passes for 124 yards and a touchdown.
