Nate Clements

The 49ers had the most salary-cap room of any team and Clements was the only marquee cornerback available. They gave the former Bill an eight-year, $80 million contract.

Adalius Thomas

The versatile linebacker signed with New England for five years and $35 million. Thomas will help improve the Patriots' pass rush and can help cover receivers in certain situations.

Jeff Garcia

The Bucs wanted Garcia two years ago, before the veteran quarterback signed with the Browns. They finally got him over the weekend. He's a perfect fit for Jon Gruden's offense if Tampa Bay gives him the starting job over Chris Simms ... and perhaps Jake Plummer, who is now a Buc but may retire.

Eric Steinbach

Even though he's never been to a Pro Bowl, Steinbach got $49 million over seven years from Cleveland. The former Bengal is on the smallish side, but he's a talented run-blocker.

Kris Dielman

Dielman reportedly left a big chunk of money on the table from the Seahawks to stay with the Chargers. Dielman is a vital cog to San Diego's potent rushing game. He signed a six-year deal worth about $39 million.

Leonard Davis

Dallas signed the 6-foot-6, 366-pound Davis for seven years, $50 million. Many experts think the former No. 2 overall pick is not a hard worker and will never be a star, but the Cowboys feel they can rehabilitate his career.

Derrick Dockery

The Bills reportedly gave Dockery a seven-year, $49 million deal, with a $16 million signing bonus. Dockery, who is just 26, will likely replace free agent Mike Gandy at left guard.

London Fletcher

The 31-year-old linebacker signed a five-year, $25 million contract with the Skins, although he's unlikely to see all that money. Fletcher provides a solid presence in the middle of Washington's defense.

Drew Bennett

He signed a six-year deal with the Rams, who expect to replace No. 3 receiver Kevin Curtis, an unrestricted free agent. Bennett had 80 receptions, 1,247 yards and 11 touchdowns in 2004, but has struggled with injuries since then.

Ahman Green

The Texans bring in the 30-year-old Green to solidify an inconsistent backfield. Green rebounded nicely from injuries to rush for 1,059 yards in 14 games last season.
