Sex games! That’s what we’re here to talk about, but not those pervy ones on the weird sites or the ones you play in your bedroom with your partner (or yourself). Not Leisure Suit Larry either. No.

We’re sophisticated and mature here. We’re here to talk about actual good games that happen to feature sex, because it’s a big part of what makes us human.

All of that said, there are a few games where being human isn’t a necessary prerequisite to bumping uglies. Don’t worry, there’s no judgment here. Baldur’s Gate 3 made people horny for a bear, for God’s sake. It’s no wonder we were kicked out of Eden.

So let video games be your salvation as we dive under the sheets for the best sex games to play right now.

Baldur’s Gate 3

Have a little smooch under the moonlight in Baldur's Gate 3.

We couldn’t start anywhere else, could we? Before the game even launched out of early access, developer Larian was showing off an inter-species sex scene where a bear mounted a man and started pumping away. But don’t worry, the bear is a druid! It’s basically the same as wearing cat ears or a little rabbit tail. Who among us hasn’t done that?

Every single scene in this game was motion captured, so you owe it to the poor actors to see as many of Baldur’s Gate 3’s sex scenes as possible – and believe me, there are lots of them (or so I’m told! I would never). If you want to bone an octopus man, go for it. There are elven women, a vampire twink, and a devil woman who could crush you with her thighs. Whatever takes your fancy in this excellent RPG. If you just want to see what's on offer, here's every Baldur's Gate 3 romance ranked

Cyberpunk 2077

Like most of the great games, one of your first choices in Cyberpunk 2077 is what kind of junk you want. And it’s not just which type of genitalia, but it’s which kind of that specific type of genitalia. How much do you want it to hang? How floppy? HOW FLOPPY? While you only ever see your meticulously crafted private parts again if you strip your character nude, Cyberpunk 2077 does feature some pretty intimate sex scenes.

The best laptop games for low-spec PCs

These scenes play out in first-person, so get used to other characters smooching your camera. What makes Cyberpunk 2077’s sex scenes good isn’t the sex itself, but the relationships you form. These are some of the best-crafted characters in video games, and you can pretend you slept with them and tell your friends that someone loves you. Oh, and you get to have sex through Keanu Reeves' eyes. There's no better time to go back, thanks to the excellent Phantom Liberty DLC.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

Moments before disaster.

CD Projekt just knows how to do a sex scene. The Witcher 3 opens with full-frontal nudity and a bath scene, and it only escalates from there. Whether you want a few one-night stands or you want to develop a proper relationship throughout the game, the option is there, and there’s pretend sex at the end as a reward for your efforts. Geralt’s got 99 problems but a witch ain’t one.

That is unless you decide to get embroiled in a love triangle between Yeneffer and Triss, which ends with you getting completely blue-balled in one of the funniest scenes in video games. No doubt we're in for even more when CD Projekt launches The Witcher 1 remake

Mass Effect: Legendary Edition

Commander Shepard looks happy to be there.

If bears and witches aren’t your thing, the Mass Effect series is the place to be. There are aliens with tentacle heads, a sad assassin alien with eyes like galaxies, and even the odd human is willing to pop into the captain’s cabin for a bit of how’s your father?

With three entire games to work through, you can either build long-term, meaningful relationships or bone your way through the Milky Way. Boldly go where no one has gone before. Check our list of the best RPGs for more like it.

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey

Whichever sibling you play as, your options are the same.

There’s a side quest in this game where there’s a young guy trapped in a cage. I can’t remember the details, but there’s a man and a woman behind it, and he asks you for help resolving the conflict.

Playing as Kassandra, I did what I could. I killed the woman and seduced the man, freeing him in the process. It turns out the man was his father and the woman was his mother. “You killed my mother and you f***ed my father.” Oops.

The best cities in video games

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is a huge game and there are so many people you can shag in Ancient Greece. Turns out they were quite famous for it. Shagging, I mean. The game is pretty authentic in that sense.

Wolfenstein: The New Order

There's a proper filmic quality to Wolfenstein's love scenes.

Who would have thought a game where you play as a guy called B.J. would have sex scenes? William and Anya know that their time in this world isn’t guaranteed, so they often stick it to the Nazis by sticking it to each other. The cutscene direction across the entire Wolfenstein series is some of the best in video games, and the sex scenes are no different.
