Alan Wake 2: preload

Alan Wake 2 will be available for preloading on consoles on October 25, 2023, which means you’ll be able to download the game ahead of time. This will save you from waiting for a large download on launch day, enabling you to get into the game immediately. If you’ve pre-ordered Alan Wake 2, navigate to it in your library on PS5 or Xbox Series X|S to start the preload.

As it's published by Epic Games, Alan Wake 2 is an EGS exclusive on PC. While preloading isn’t a staple on EGS, it has happened a few times in the past, so it’s possible that you’ll be able to download the game from there ahead of time as well. However, there is no confirmed official date for this as of yet.
