If you’ve just started Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon, then your first big challenge will likely be the first boss: HA-T-102 JUGGERNAUT. You’ll encounter the Juggernaut at the end of the Operation Wallclimber mission, and while you’ll have help to start with, they will soon depart, and it’ll all be on you.

Taking down the Juggernaut is an uphill (upwall?) battle, and to make things worse, it’s practically indestructible from the front, making it a tougher encounter than you might be prepared for.

For everything you need to take down Armored Core 6’s first boss, the Juggernaut, just read through our build and strategy guide below.

Best build for The Juggernaut boss – AC6

The build we’ve selected for this boss focuses on smaller, lighter AC parts than most of our builds. The Juggernaut really can’t handle a swift-moving AC with a Generator that can quickly recharge. The specific body parts don’t matter too much here, as long as you aim for mobility.

Also, while general weapon firepower is important, you’ll find this battle much easier if you have a melee weapon attack that can be charged. For this boss, we picked a chargeable laser blade that can deal huge damage. Vertical missiles are great too, as they go over the Juggernaut’s front shield.

As mentioned, this boss is invincible from the front, so there’s no point in firing missiles and guns while it’s facing you. Luckily when the fight starts you’ll get some aid from V.IV Rusty, who’ll become one of your bestest buddies.

You can use your new friend as a distraction to get behind, but the beast will soon be focusing entirely on you. If you manage to stagger it during battle, you can potentially land on its rear wheels and stand there – assuming your AC is small enough. From here you can unleash hell and use any melee weapons you have, as they will be particularly effective.

As we’ve suggested a lightweight build, you should find it pretty easy to dodge out of the way when Juggernaut charges at you. You could even put your back to a wall, dodge out the way of a charge, and then be within range to unleash melee attacks and more while it’s unable to move away quickly. Getting behind this beast can be tough on the ground, so you might find it easier to fly directly over it and unleash attacks from above, going over the shield.
