How old is Shadowheart? What’s Astarion’s alignment? If you ever had any of these questions in regards to the Baldur’s Gate 3 companions, you’ve come to the right place. Scouring through the information available in as well as outside of the game, we’ve compiled all available facts about our favorite characters.

Now, there are some caveats to be noted here. The game itself is notoriously confused about some of the timeline, giving information that doesn’t exactly line up with intel found elsewhere. For this reason, we’ve complemented information obtained from the game with facts from Idle Champions of the Forgotten Realms, another licensed Dungeons & Dragons game that contains some Baldur’s Gate 3 companions and elaborates on some of their biographies, as well as the previous Baldur’s Gate titles for characters who appeared in them.

Without further ado, here’s everything you need to know about the Baldur’s Gate 3 companions.

You'll probably have noticed that everyone's weights – aside from Karlach – are really similar. This is probably for gameplay reasons, as the developers wanted to keep your party’s interaction with certain spells relatively consistent across the board. There is no official info on heights in the game – we simply know that they are all Medium-sized in regards to D&D rules. Hence we looked up the average height of everyone’s race and provided some estimations based on that.

We'll update this article when fresh discoveries are made.
