Baldur's Gate 3: Find Your Belongings quest guide
Contents
The Emerald Grove is home to a lot of quests in Baldur’s Gate 3. This Druid’s sanctuary is currently occupied by a large band of Tieflings who are seeking to make it to Baldur’s Gate, except the local Goblin hordes are making that difficult.
There’s a large contingent of children in the area, and they’re no strangers to a bit of mischief, as you’ll discover when they swipe your things from under your nose. This walkthrough for the “Find Your Belongings” quest will ensure you can recover what you lost.
We can help with other areas of Baldur's Gate 3 too. Our class tier list will show you how to build the perfect party, our stone dial puzzle guide will help you solve one of the game's stranger puzzles, and the Karmic Dice guide will explain one of the game's most important settings.
How to start Find Your Belongings – Baldur’s Gate 3
As you head down to the Druid’s grove, you’ll encounter a small Teifling child with a small stand. She’ll grab your attention and ask if you want to buy one of her lucky rings. As you chat to her you’ll mysteriously roll a couple of Perception checks, fail them and when you walk away, you’ll notice you’ve been robbed – this will trigger Find Your Belongings to start.
Getting into the hideout – Baldur’s Gate 3
Once your conversation has finished, you’ll spot a child running down the nearby ladder and into a gap in the rocks, this is the entrance to the kids’ hideout. If you’re a small race like a Halfling, then you’ll be able to fit through this gap and get straight in.
Alternatively, you can head up the road and speak to another Tiefling child who only talks in grunts. You’ll need to pass a difficult Persuasion check to get in.
If you fail that, then there is still one more way in, but involved completing “Investigating the Beach”.
Investigating the Beach – Baldur’s Gate 3
Head into the Druid’s area and go up a path next to the entrance. This will take you into a cliffside beach area, where you can hear mysterious singing.
Go down the cliffs and you’ll find a boy entranced by the singing. You can try to pull him away or listen and become entranced yourself – either way, you’ll be dragged into a fight with some Harpies. This can be a pretty difficult fight as the Harpy's singing can cause characters to lose their turn if they fail to resist it, so come prepared.
Once it’s done, the boy will tell you to come visit the hideout.
Meeting Mol – Baldur’s Gate 3
Go back to the grunting boy and he’ll now point you to the entrance where you can go in and talk to Mol, the leader of the child thieves.
You can scold her, but it’s better to be nice and get her on-side, as she’ll then offer you a new quest, Stealing the Idol, which tasks you with taking the Idol that the Druids are using for their ritual.
Accept this quest and a dialogue option will appear saying that you’re missing some belongings. Mol will point you to their loot chest, where you can finally recover your lost items, completing the quest.
