It’s almost upon us: After many months of Early Access, the PC version of the highly anticipated RPG Baldur’s Gate 3 is fully launching on August 3, 2023 – ahead of schedule!

PS5 and Xbox Series X|S owners will have to wait a little longer for the game with the version for Sony’s console coming out in September 2023 and the one for Microsoft’s hardware still being in development. Players can look forward to hundreds of hours of gameplay and almost an endless amount of replayability thanks to the freedom Larian Studios will grant them in basically every aspect of the game.

Based on Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition, the creators of Divinity: Original Sin have developed a true epic in every sense of the word that is very much looking to be worthy of following in the footsteps of the previous Baldur’s Gate titles.

Here’s everything you need to know about the Baldur’s Gate 3 unlock times in your area.

Baldur’s Gate 3 unlock times

Baldur’s Gate 3 unlocks on August 3, 2023, in most of the world, but a few places will have to wait for August 4, 2023. Here are all the Baldur’s Gate 3 unlock times:

  • August 3, 8am PT
  • August 3, 9am CT
  • August 3, 11am ET
  • August 3, 4pm BST
  • August 3, 5pm CEST
  • August 3, 20:30pm IST
  • August 3, 11pm CST
  • August 4, 12am KST/JST
  • August 4, 1am AEST
  • August 4, 3am NZST

Baldur’s Gate 3’s release version does not support saves from the Early Access version, so even if you’ve put a decent amount of time into it already, you’ll have to start from scratch – as Larian has pointed out, so many things have changed between the versions that keeping the saves compatible is simply not feasible.

There is a lot to look forward to in Baldur’s Gate 3, such as the voice performances of J. K. Simmons and Jason Isaacs as well as some fluffy bear love.
