If you want to unlock all of Bayonetta 3’s fancy costumes, then you will need to start collecting the most precious currency in the game: Halos. No, there’s no way to buy them through microtransactions, thankfully, and to get your hands on them all you need to just go through the game and beat up those sacred angels that you’ll recognize from the first two games.

Only, angels are much harder to find here than ever before, and as a result, it’s much harder to collect a large amount of Halos, while the Lotuses that are dropped from Homunculi are plentiful. If you want to farm a large amount of Halos fast so you can start buying everything in Rodin’s Shop, here’s what you need to know.

Equip the Mallet of Rewards

When farming for any currency, you should have the Mallet of Rewards equipped to increase the amount of Halos and Lotuses you’ll earn.

To make the most of the Mallet’s effects, you should also be playing the game on higher difficulties – if you can!

Hunt Hidden Verses

Hidden Verses are available in each and every stage, and while some of them are simple challenges, those golden glowing lights in particular are a hint that you’ll find angels there, and yes, angels drop Halos. If you see a golden hidden verse, make sure to hunt it down.

Extra chapters, extra Halos

If you manage to collect every Umbral Tear, you’ll unlock a new size challenge and you’ll find plenty of angels there who will offer up Halos.

Make sure to collect the Tears in Chapter 3 to unlock Phenomenal Remnant, which can be completed repeatedly to earn Halos.

Chapter 9

In Chapter 9’s Treasure Room you’ll find Halos literally all over the floor, and you’ll be able to pick up plenty. You have to finish the chapter to keep collectibles, so make sure to get as much as you can on your repeat playthroughs.

Jeanne’s minigame

Finally, through Rodin’s Shop you’ll have access to Jeanne’s minigame. If you’ve got the skills to pay the Halo bills, you can earn plenty of the currency by playing through this mode, but you will need to spend Lotuses to play. This isn’t the most effective method in this guide, but it’s worth a try.
