Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon – All costumes and how to unlock them
The Bayonetta series has always been known for its fabulous costumes that peaked with Bayonetta 2 and the fantastic Fox and Princess Peach costumes. There are 14 costumes to unlock in Bayonetta Origins, nine for Cereza and five for Cheshire. However, they aren’t the easiest to collect. We’ve collected all the outfits so you can see which ones you would like to aim for.
Here’s every outfit in Bayonetta Origins and how you can unlock them.
Bayonetta Origins: Cereza’s outfits
Cereza has nine different outfits to unlock and wear, each with its own requirements to unlock. The costume menu unlocks once you have completed the main game and can be accessed at save points. Here is the full list.
A Brave Witch
This is the default outfit for Cereza, which you will have for the majority of the game. You can also change between her long and short hairstyles for this outfit.
An Elegant Swan
This outfit is unlocked by finding and freeing all of the wisps. There are 42 wisps to collect, which you can find with the help of our guide. Finding all the wisps also unlocks the final remembrance The Forest’s Hero.
Cereza in Wonderland
This Alice-themed outfit can be earned by “doing well” in time trials. This means beating the gold time for each trial rather than the most difficult platinum time. Time trials can be attempted at any save point by clicking on Tír na nÓg > Time Trials. There are 12 in total, and you will need to have completed the corresponding Tír na nÓg in the overworld in order to unlock the time trial.
A Pesky Demon
This outfit is unlocked by unlocking all of Cereza’s abilities at the sanctuaries. In order to do this, you will need to collect enough roses, and Moon Pearls. You will need every Moon Pearl in order to unlock all of the abilities. You can find out where they are with our guide.
Younger Days
Younger Days is unlocked by collecting all of the remembrances throughout the overworld. These are the blue circles with butterflies on them. You will also need to collect all of the wisps in order to unlock the final remembrance. There are 12 to collect and can find all remembrances in our guide.
Observer of Time
This outfit, which reminded us of her outfit from Bayonetta 2, is unlocked after you complete the game on the harder difficulty, The Forbidden Tale. This is unlocked once you have completed the main story. From what we could tell this difficulty setting isn’t any different except that you are locked out of the accessibility options.
The Right Eye
The Right Eye unlocks as soon as you complete the game on the regular level of difficulty. This also unlocks the costume menu, and the higher difficulty, The Forbidden Tale. This is similar to Bayonetta’s outfit from the original game.
Arch Eve Origin
The outfit from Bayonetta 3 is unlocked after you complete Jeanne’s Tale. This extra chapter is available from the Extras menu after you have completed the main story.
Jeanne
This character is also unlocked by completing Jeanne’s Tale. Equipping this ‘costume’ also changes Cheshire’s costume to Charles, and will also change how both of the characters control.
Bayonetta Origins: Cheshire’s outfits
Cheshire only has five outfits and most of these are just accessories. Here’s the full list.
The Lost Demon
This is Cheshire’s default look and is the one you see as you play through the main story.
Accuser of Love
This costume gives Cheshire a bird hat. This is unlocked by finding all Journals in the overworld that you can find with our guide.
A Mad Hatter
This outfit is the counterpart to the ‘Cereza in Wonderland’ costume. To unlock it, you must find all of the chests in every Tír na nÓg. This means you need to complete all of the Tír na nÓg’s in the overworld. If you missed a chest, you can return to the Tír na nÓgs at save points by clicking Tír na nÓg > Retry.
A Blundering Witch
This outfit gives Cheshire Cereza’s round glasses. It is unlocked by unlocking all Cheshires abilities. For this, you will need to find all of the Inferno Fruit, which you can do using our guide. You can then unlock the abilities at sanctuaries.
Charles
This is the counterpart to the Jeanne costume and must be used as a pair. It’s unlocked by completing Jeanne’s Tale in the Extras menu, and will change how Cheshire controls.
