Bayonetta Origins is packed with collectibles, and one of the biggest sets is the Journals. These little notes, which carry more information on the background of the game’s setting and world, are all over the overworld for Cereza to discover. If you manage to collect them all, not only will you have reading material, but you will be rewarded with a snazzy hat for Cheshire.

Bayonetta Origins: All Journal locations

There are 48 journals to find throughout the overworld of Bayonetta Origins. Many of them are on the main storyline path, but some of them will require some searching during the post-game.

The Biologist’s Journals

1. Jade Hill - Double back after you cross the vine south of the Sanctuary
2. Leafy Nook - Southwest of the Sanctuary
3. Sunspeckled Grove - Enter via Wyvern Falls, and use Wood Cheshire to pull down a spiral flower near the shrine. The Journal is across the river.
4. Sunspeckled Grove - To the northeast on the main story path
5. Chalkroot Hollow - West of the Sanctuary
6. Windy Knot - Lower near the exit
7. Lake Nimueh - Use the lilypad to push yourself into the nook of the lake to the north.
8. Chalkroot Hollow - near the Wyvern Falls exit

Faerie Research Logs

1. Sunkissed Shore - Near the Sanctuary
2. Forbidden Grounds - As you approach the barrier
3. Ashenbark Woods - On the main story path
4. Púca’s Fortress - Upper level, main story path
5. Púca’s Fortress - When you first reach the cogs, throw Cheshire up to knock the stairs down and climb up
6. Wyvern Falls - Near the Monster’s Cage Remembrance
7. Forgotten Knoll - Beneath the slide in Wisp’s Hideaway
8. Jade Hill - Use the springs to get to the exit near Forgotten Knoll

1. Giant’s Basin - In the center of the pond
2. Chalkroot Hollow - From the Sanctuary cross the tree stump and double back down a narrow path
3. Forgotten Knoll - In the Wisp’s Hideaway
4. Wyvern Falls - to the northwest
5. Púca’s Fortress - Hidden in a block of ice to the right as you head towards Giant’s Basin
6. Ashenbark Woods - At the top of the first tower
7. Leafy Nook - Near the exit to Lake Nimueh. You need to water power to grab it
8. Sunkissed Shore - At the top of the slide to the right

Faerie Kingdom History

1. Faerieland Tower - On the lower path where the two train tracks in a semi-circle are. You can find it at the end where the folded ladder is
2. The Watchtower - On the main path when you first enter
3. Overgrown Shrine - On the main story path
4. Chalkroot Hollow - On the lower level pass the cage to take you to the next section and take the path down to reach the Journal
5. Wyvern Falls - Go across the pond near the Tír na nÓg to find this one
6. Giant’s Basin - Left of the Sanctuary
7. Overgrown Shrine - As you enter the lower section of the map
8. Overgrown Shrine - A little further on from the one above
