COD MW3: Best Sidewinder build for Warzone and multiplayer
Not all weapons in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III are considered “meta,” but that won’t stop them from racking up kills in the right hands with the correct attachments. The Sidewinder is exactly that kind of weapon. This battle rifle can be built for slightly longer-range engagements than the average assault rifle, and packs an incredible punch, but its accuracy leaves something to be desired.
If you can master the recoil on the Sidewinder, you’ll find that it deals huge damage with each hit, and can take out those Firing Range dummies with just two shots to the head, against the assault rifle average of three. That makes it fierce, though not the easiest to just jump in and start shooting with.

Sidewinder best loadout – MW3 & Warzone
Since the Sidewinder is so unpredictable we’re going to focus on attachments that reduce the recoil so you can get multiple shots in a row on a foe.
- Optic: Chrios Hold
- Barrel: Tempus Predator Precision Barrel
- Muzzle: Tempus GH50
- Underbarrel: FTAC SP-10 Angled Grip
- Stock: RB Regal Heavy Stock
We’ve gone with the Chrios Hold on this build primarily for its 1.25x magnification, as this weapon could really use a tiny bit of extra zoom to help you nail shots, and the iron sights are not easy to aim with. You can swap this out for whichever optic you prefer, but even with this attachment selection the recoil is too much to deal with for any higher zoom levels.
Assuming you’re not attempting to snipe anyone with this loadout, this is a great build to hammer shots into a foe from mid-to-long range, and it can be even more deadly at close-range, assuming you’re already ADSing when a foe comes around a corner.
The Sidewinder is a solid weapon to have at your side in MW3’s multiplayer, where enemies are often very close by, and for those situations, you can even drop the optic entirely in exchange for a Rear Grip. But if you’re playing Warzone, there are certainly better choices than the Sidewinder.
