The New Zealand trick involves changing your console’s region so that you can get earlier access to any game that is dependant on a “local time” launch. As New Zealand’s time zone is the furthest ahead, this is the one you should select.

Xbox Series X/S

On Xbox, go into Settings > System >Time, and then you’ll be able to switch your time zone to UTC+12 Auckland, Wellington, then restart your console.

PS5

For PlayStation, it’s a little more complicated, as you will need to create a separate PlayStation account on your console and pre-order the game through that rather than your main account. Go through the normal account setup process (you will need a second email address too) but make sure that when selecting your region you pick “New Zealand”
