EA Sports FC 24: the 50 best female players, ranked
The buzz around women’s soccer is at an all-time high after the Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand, and now EA Sports have revealed the ratings for female players, who are coming into Ultimate Team for the first time.
Women’s soccer players represent 1,500 of the 17,000+ players available in the game, the biggest single injection of players into the Ultimate Team database since its inception. Stars from the NWSL, Barclays WSL, Liga F, Frauen Bundesliga, D1 Arkema, and UEFA Women’s Champions League will now be found in EA Sports’ most popular game mode. Without a doubt, some of these women will be in the FC 24 meta, and EA Sports execs expect to make these players household names through their latest title. FC fans will have to wait for Icon and Hero ratings for the time being, but expect to see some big names with big stats.
We’ve compiled the 50 best female players in FC 24 Ultimate Team, profiling the top 10, so that you can get to know the stars you’ll face in the new game a little bit more.
FC 24 best women’s players – Top 10
Alexia Putellas - Barcelona/Spain - CM - 91 OVR
Alexia Putellas is at the top of the women’s game right now and is deservedly the second-best player in FC 24. She’s a double Ballon d’Or winner, and picked up a World Cup winners medal this summer with Spain. Her 5-star skill moves, 5-star weak foot, and good chemistry links will guarantee Putellas to be popular with the FC pro players and big spenders.
Aitana Bonmatí - Barcelona/Spain - CM - 90 OVR
Pairing up for club and country with Putellas is the relentless Aitana Bonmatí. She scooped the Golden Ball for best player at the 2023 World Cup, adding to an already impressive honors list with Barcelona. High defensive and attacking work rates mean Bonmatí - the fifth best player in FC 24 - is an early tip for the midfield meta.
Sam Kerr - Chelsea/Australia - ST - 90 OVR
Last season Kerr broke the internet by becoming the first woman on the cover of FIFA, but the Chelsea striker has had a frustrating home World Cup over the summer. She’ll be hoping to return to form in the Barclays WSL when it kicks off in September. Easily one of the best strikers in FC 24 Ultimate Team, Sam Kerr will be an expensive option to start, and if she keeps scoring like last season, expect her to get plenty of boosted special cards too.
Caroline Graham Hansen - Barcelona/Norway - RW - 90 OVR
Norwegian winger Caroline Graham Hansen is considered one of the best female wingers in soccer, and in game she has an 89 pace stat to go with it. Her PlayStyles+ signature is trickster, which is bound to be one of the most desired in-game talents. Hansen’s national link with cover star Erling Haaland could be very useful, too.
Kadidiatou Diani - Olympique Lyonnais/France - RW - 89 OVR
Fresh from a transfer from PSG to D1 Arkema rivals Olympique Lyonnais, Kadidatou Diani is another flying winger that’s bound to cause players problems in Ultimate Team this year. Combining 89 pace with 85 shooting and the technical PlayStyle seems like a recipe for success in teams that revolve around French players.
Mapi León - Barcelona/Spain - CB - 89 OVR
It’s not all about the attackers; Mapi León is the best female defender in FC 24, with the Spanish center-back chalking up an 89 rating. Her personal trophy cabinet is brimming with league and European titles, but she opted not to represent Spain in their World Cup 23 winning campaign. León’s 90 defending stat is backed with a startling 81 passing stat, so expect to use her as a ball playing defender all cycle if you pack her early in game.
Alex Morgan - San Diego Wave/USA - ST - 89 OVR
USWNT stalwart Alex Morgan is probably the biggest celebrity on this list. Morgan has a book deal, starred on TV, in a movie and music video, and appeared on the cover of Sports Illustrated multiple times. She also appeared on the cover of the US version of FIFA 16, alongside Lionel Messi. Her iconic ‘tea’ celebration can be used in FC 24.
Ada Hegerberg - Olympique Lyonnais/Norway - ST - 89 OVR
Ada Hegerberg will go down in women’s soccer history as the first-ever recipient of the women’s Ballon d’Or, in 2018. She is synonymous with the UEFA Women’s Champions League, and holds multiple goalscoring records in the competition for her club, Olympique Lyonnais. Whilst Hegerberg doesn’t have huge pace, her first touch and technical PlayStyles plus 86 dribbling stat should make her a nightmare for defenders in the box.
Irene Paredes - Barcelona/Spain - CB - 88 OVR
Spaniard Irene Paredes helped PSG win their first D1 Arkema title in 2021, before moving to Barcelona, where she’s continued to have success domestically. She’s also coming to Ultimate Team having won the Women’s World Cup with Spain. As a center back with the slide tackle PlayStyles+ trait, expect to make some crunching defensive plays if she makes your team.
Wendie Renard - Olympique Lyonnais/France - CB - 88 OVR
Fearful French defender Wendie Renard captains both her club Lyon and her national team. She’s one of the most decorated soccer players in the world, with 14 D1 Arkema and 8 UEFA Women’s Champions League wins to her name. At 6ft 2, Renard stands as the tallest woman in FC 24, making her a great target at corners, and her 91 defending stat is the highest for a woman, too.
