Developer FromSoftware has given us all a severe case of Elden Ring fever once again with the release of a gameplay trailer for Shadow of the Erdtree and the confirmation that the DLC will be launched on June 21, 2024, for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.

Shadow of the Erdtree won’t only bring new stories and content from the Lands Between, but will also introduce new ways of purchasing Elden Ring for those who may finally want to check out what the hype is all about – better late than never, and all that.

Well, here’s the good news: While everyone who already owns Elden Ring can by Shadow of the Erdtree separately, any latecomers to 2022’s Game of the Year now have access to editions that bundle the original game with the expansion – and throw some other content into the bundle as a cherry on top.

Here are all Elden Ring editions and bundles containing Shadow of the Erdtree.

Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree DLC – separate purchase and pre-order bonus

As mentioned above, Shadow of the Erdtree is available as a separate purchase on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S at a price of $39.99 USD.

You can also get the DLC without the base game via the Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree Premium Bundle, which contains the expansion, a digital art book, and the soundtrack at a price of $49.99 USD.

As a bonus for pre-ordering the Elden Ring DLC, players will get access to an exclusive in-game gesture to use – perfect for communicating with other Tarnished when you’re helping or invading their world.

This is the section to check out when you want to start your Elden Ring adventure with Shadow of the Erdtree. There are two bundles that include both the base game and the expansion:

  • Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree Edition – contains the base game and the DLC; available digitally for PC and physically for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S (though only the base game is included on disc). Price: $79.99 USD.
  • Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree Deluxe Bundle – contains the base game and the DLC; contains digital art books and soundtracks for the base game and the DLC; available digitally for all platforms. Price: $99.99 USD.

You can get the same pre-order bonus as for the separate DLC purchase when buying any of these editions ahead of release.

There is also a new Collector’s Edition available in limited numbers on the Bandai Namco store. It comes with a code for the DLC, a ~18” (46cm) statue of Messmer the Impaler, 40-page physical art book, and digital soundtrack. Shipping is only available to the US and Canada. It’ll cost you $249.99 USD to get the Collector’s Edition.

For merchandise fans, the helmet of Messmer the Impaler is available as a separate purchase for $189.99 USD.
