Enshrouded: how to get Goo /

There’s something a little unsettling about how vague goo is in Enshrouded. What is this goo? Where did it come from? Why does my flame require it to strengthen? These questions will remain unanswered, but it doesn’t change the fact that you need it if you want to strengthen your flame and keep growing your base.

We’ll explain how to get goo in Enshrouded, and some reliable ways you can create it.

Before the recipe for goo is unlocked you need to do a couple of things. First, head to the Alchemist Vault and unlock the Alchemist for your base. Next, you need to get your hands on the Alchemist’s Mortar. Use that to crush a bug into Bug Dust for the first time and the recipe for goo will become available.

To craft goo at the Alchemist you will need:

  • 1 Dirt
  • 1 Shroud Liquid
  • 1 Bug Dust

Getting dirt is easy, just stick your pickaxe in the ground a couple of times and you’ll get some.

For Shroud Liquid, you need to head into the shroud and harvest it from the large mushrooms you can find there.

Bug Dust can be crafted by crushing Critter Parts with the Alchemist’s Mortar, which in turn you get from the bugs that spawn in the shroud.
