When you boot up Final Fantasy 16 with the Echoes of the Fallen DLC installed you will get a notification about accessing content, with the following requirements:

“To access the Echoes of the Fallen questline, you must first have unlocked Origin on the World Map, as well as completed the sidequests Where There’s a Will and Priceless. Bonus items will be available for redemption from the System tab in the Main Menu upon reaching the main scenario quest A Chance Encounter.”

Here’s the full breakdown of what you need to access Echoes of the Fallen:

  • Access to Origin on the world map (final battle)
  • Where There’s a Will sidequest complete
  • Priceless sidequest complete

Once those tasks are complete, Charon at The Hideaway will have a unique purple quest icon above her head which will begin the Echoes of the Fallen DLC questline.

You can access Echoes of the Fallen with a complete save file, as continuing a complete save file that you’ll make after the end credits will return you to The Hideaway in the perfect position to immediately play the DLC questline.

If you’ve deleted your previous save file and started again in Final Fantasy mode or something, then you will need to progress that save file to near completion in order to access the Echoes of the Fallen DLC.
