All Chronolith locations so you can undertake every Eikon challenge in FF16

Final Fantasy XVI is filled with dozens of combat challenges, 32 of which you can find in our full list of FF16 Hunt locations. But the Chronolith challenges are a bit different. Each tasks you with only using the abilities of a single Eikon, requiring combat mastery if you’re to complete all Chronoliths. This is necessary for a Curiosity, and therefore at least two trophies.

Below we’re listing each Chronolith location, the Eikon you must use inside, and hopefully, you’re a skilled enough Final Fantasy 16 player to just cruise through first try. You are, aren’t you? Exactly. Just read on below for all of the Chronolith stone locations in FFXVI.

All Eikon Chronolith challenge locations – FF16

Trial by Fire: Phoenix Chronolith location – FF16

The Trial By Fire is where you’ll exclusively use the Phoenix – luckily, this is probably the Eikon you’ve used most.

You have likely traveled past this Chronolith at least once, even if you haven’t had it marked on your map, but it’s on the main path from Martha’s Rest towards Eastpool in Rosaria.

It’s hiding in plain sight, among other Fallen ruins.

Trial by Wind: Garuda Chronolith location – FF16

Garuda’s Chronolith lies in the desert of Dhalmekia.

This one is fairly easy to come across, as it’s in the lower section of Drakos Deep. Easiest to reach from the Laetny’s Cleft Obelisk.

You’ll find it wedged at the end of one of the maze-like paths.

Trial by Thunder: Ramuh Chronolith location – FF16

Ramuh’s Chronolith can be found in Sanbreque.

To find this one, you need to go to the end of the path just North of Caer Norvent River Gate.

Keep following the path through some foliage and you’ll find the stone near a large wall in the forest.

Trial by Earth: Titan Chronolith location – FF16

Titan is one of the coolest Eikons to use in battle, and its Chronolith is also in the desert.

This time you’ll be following the path right to the end of The Northern Velkroy Desert in Dhalmekia.

Once you make it through the sands, you’ll find the Chronolith. It may be guarded by enemies.

Trial by Light: Bahamut Chronolith location – FF16

Bahamut’s Chronolith is overlooking the sea in Sanbreque.

To get to this one you need to head to the cape, far to the West of Northreach, past the Royal Meadows.

There’s an aetherflood in the area, so you’ll know you’re in the right place.

Trial by Ice: Shiva Chronolith location – FF16

The icy Shiva has her Chronolith located in the late-game location of Waloed.

To find this Chronolith you need to go to the West side of The Angry Gap, with the entrance to the South.

The path is clearly visible on the map, making the stone easy to find.

Trial by Darkness: Odin Chronolith location – FF16

Odin is the final Chronolith on our list, and one of the tougher ones to master.

Odin’s Chronolith can also be found in Waloed, Southeast of Vidargraes. There’s a village here that you will likely visit for a Side Quest.

There’s an optional tough enemy near the back of the area, and then you’ll find Odin’s stone overlooking the valley.
