Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 has finally brought back story quests to the battle royale. Every few weeks a new set of quests will be released that further the Myths & Mortals story, where Zeus looks to be waging war on the mortal realm. This requires doing a variety of tasks, including fighting some of the Gods to the death.

We’ll explain how to get an Aspect of the Gods in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2.

To get an Aspect of the Gods you need to defeat one of the NPC bosses on the island. There are four bosses for you to fight and defeat, each one giving you a different aspect. Here’s where to find each one:

  • Hades – The Underworld
  • Cerberus – Grim Gate
  • Ares – Brawler’s Battleground
  • Zeus – Mount Olympus

To defeat them, you will need to defeat two waves of minions before the boss themselves spawns, so make sure you’ve got some good guns that are stocked up on ammo before leaping into the fray. It’s also worth noting that the quest only requires you to “assist” in defeating one of the Gods, this means that dealing any damage at all counts, even if another player gets the killing blow.

Like the society medallions from last season, these aspects will give you a powerful buff in exchange for revealing your location on other players’ minimaps – the more aspects you have, the more narrow the revealed location.

There are four aspects of the Gods, here’s what each of them does and who drops them:

  • Aspect of Speed – Zeus – Sprint faster and jump higher
  • Aspect of Combat – Ares – Increases the damage of ranged weapons
  • Aspect of Siphon – Cerberus – Heals you when you eliminate an opponent
  • Aspect of Agility – Hades – Gives you the Underworld Dash ability permanently
