The Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 start times are coming up fast, as Epic gears up for another round of new skins and events in the multiplayer game. Chapter 5 Season 2 takes us to the Adriatic and Mt Olympus for a Greek mythology-inspired battle pass called Of Myths and Mortals, so if Zeus lobbing lighting and grenades at the same time is your kind of thing, it looks like this one’s for you.

We’ve outlined the Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 start times below, including when the servers will go down and what to expect from the new season.

Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 server downtime

As always, Epic is turning the Fortnite servers off for a few hours ahead of the new season, and you won’t be able to play during that period. Your current battle pass progress will reset once the servers go down, so make sure to do everything you want – and have time for – before then.

Epic said the servers will go down on March 8, 2024, at:

  • 7 a.m. GMT
  • 8 a.m. CET
  • 2 a.m. ET
  • 1 a.m. CT
  • 11 p.m. PT (March 7, 2024)

Seasonal downtime usually lasts at least two hours – sometimes up to four hours, depending on whether Epic runs into problems – so there’s no firm start time. However, a good general guess is that you can expect Season 2 to start around:

  • 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. GMT
  • 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. CET
  • 4 a.m. – 6 a.m. ET
  • 3 a.m. – 5 a.m. CT
  • 1 a.m. – 3 a.m. PT

What to expect from Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2

Epic hasn’t said much about its plans for the new season, though leakers have plenty of theories about what might be in store. Top of the list is a new set of crossovers, one featuring Atlus’ Persona series – fitting, if true, given the role mythology plays in the series – and the other starring Kratos from Sony’s God of War series, also fitting, since it’s literally about Greek gods.

You might be able to fly for a short time using a season-exclusive item, and some leakers believe a Hades-inspired mythic weapon might show up as well. Mt Olympus will probably sprout on the map as a new point of interest, and it seems likely Zeus and possibly Medusa and Cerberus will be the new season’s bosses.
