How to get a Society Medallion in Fortnite Chapter 5
Fortnite’s new era has arrived, and as Chapter 5 Season 1 gets underway, you can look to the game’s set of Kickstart Quests to get you up and running with a bunch of easy XP in the new season. These quests will teach you about the core mechanics of the season, so it’s a good idea to go out of your way to do them.
We’ll explain how to get a Society Medallion in Fortnite Underground so you can get some easy XP.
How to get a Society Medallion – Fortnite Chapter 5
To get a Societ Medallion, you must defeat one of the NPC bosses on the Fortnite Chapter 5 map. There are five different bosses that you can find at the following locations:
- Fencing Fields – Nisha
- Grand Glacier – Montague
- Lavish Lair – Oscar
- Reckless Railways – Valeria
- Snooty Steppes – Peter Griffin
These bosses will have a lot of health as well as a full shield that will regenerate over time. Plus, they are usually surrounded by a group of bodyguards, so a cautious approach with a variety of different weapons will be necessary. Still, as long as you have some recovery items and don’t rush in unprepared, you should be able to defeat them without too much trouble.
Defeating the boss will cause them to drop a weapon – usually of Legendary quality – a variety of items and the Society Medallion that you’re after.
What do Society Medallions do? – Fortnite Chapter 5
Once you pick up a Society Medallion a ghostly arrow will point you down into the basement of the boss’s lair, where you can find a vault that will only open to the person holding the corresponding Medallion. Inside you’ll find a rare chest, a weapon mod table, and a whole host of weapons on the floor and in Fortnite Weapon Cases, which have a heightened chance to be of Rare quality or better.
It does more than that though, as holding a Medallion will not only increase your maximum shield capacity but also give you shield regeneration. The more Medallions you have, the greater the effect, but there is a downside, as a radius showing your location will be displayed on the maps of all other players – this radius gets more precise the more Medallions you hold.
