Genshin Impact 4.0 events: Mega Meka Melee, Relic Records, and more
Genshin Impact 4.0 will deliver a trio of fresh playable characters in its banners alongside the new region of Fontaine and a continuation of the story, but no update of the game would be complete without a wave of events. Five of these await players in the upcoming version of the RPG, so get your wetsuits on and take your cameras out.
Here are the events you can expect to see in Genshin Impact 4.0:
- Mega Meka Melee – Underwater Parkours, Combat Challenge, and Rhythm Game
- Relic Records: Creations of the Hydro Nation – Exploration and Collection Challenge
- Studies in Light and Shadow: A Fontaine of Enchantment – Photography Challenge
- Verdict of Blades – Combat Challenge
- Lay Line Overflow – Boosted Drop Rates
Aside from Primogems, upgrade materials, and mountains of Mora, these events have one special reward in store – though it’s unlikely to be one that really helps veteran players out: Completing Mega Meka Melee will allow you to obtain a free copy of Bennett.
Bennett, of course, is one of the earliest Genshin Impact characters, which means that anyone playing for a long time probably has him maxed out already simply. Despite being an older unit, Bennett actually remains one of the most relevant characters, being an excellent Pyro support with healing, damage boost, and off-field Pyro application capabilities.
Mega Meka Melee combines a few different challenges, featuring underwater parkour action, surface battles, and a rhythm game to round things off.
Relic Records and Studies in Light and Shadow are old familiars: They were also part of the line-up for update 3.0 and the release of Sumeru. Both events will be great to get to know the landscape, flora, and fauna of Fontaine.
Verdict of Blades is going to give combat junkies their fill, while Ley Line Overflow provides a nice little boost in Mora and XP material, for those who need more resources.
Make sure to redeem the newest Genshin Impact promo codes before they run out as well.
Genshin Impact 4.0 will be released on August 16, 2023, on PC, PS4, PS5, iOS, and Android.
