Original (January 17, 2024): Version 4.4 for Genshin Impact is going to bring another massive update for the game and we’ll hear all the details about it during the newly announced special program this coming Friday. The new update will be called “Vibrant Harriers Aloft in Spring Breeze” and is going to provide players with the opportunity to head back to Liyue for the first time in a while after an amazing time in the region of Fontaine. Yes, it’s Lantern Rite time!

With fresh characters, features, and a whole new sub-region to explore, update 4.4 is sure to be another fantastic step on our journey through Teyvat. No VAs from the game are on the announcement poster for the livestream, which usually indicates that the developers themselves will lead us through the program to give us some insights on what’s to come.

Here’s where and when you can watch the Genshin Impact 4.4 livestream.

Genshin Impact 4.4 livestream: what to expect

Naturally, the special program will introduce us to the upcoming Genshin Impact characters Xianyun and Gaming – though the first needs little in terms of introduction, since she’s the human alter ego of the Adeptus Cloud Retainer, whom we’ve met several times before.

Several quality of life improvements have been revealed already as well, which we’ll probably see in more detail during the livestream. Among those are a fast-equip feature for artifacts and the ability to create custom artifact loadouts for characters – finally!

We can expect the flagship event of the coming version to be the annual Lantern Rite festival in Liyue, which coincides with the Lunar New Year and is a mainstay on the Genshin Impact event calendar. Of course, this year’s event will be accompanied by the release of Chengdu Valley, a new sub-region of Liyue that will connect it with the sea in the northwest and give the country a direct route to Fontaine.

Finally, the special program is guaranteed to drop some Genshin Impact promo codes for free Primogems and other useful resources.
