Charlotte’s Elemental Skill, Framing: Freezing Point Composition, has different effects based on whether the player is tapping or holding the skill button. On a tap, Charlotte deals Cryo Damage to enemies in an area-of-effect in front of her and inflicts up to five foes with Snappy Silhouette, which continues to deal Cryo Damage to them in intervals.

Holding the skill button allows Charlotte to enter Composition Mode, in which you can lock onto enemies with the viewfinder. Atypical for a Fontaine character, Charlotte’s abilities do not revolve around her HP, instead focusing on her Attack and Elemental Skill Damage. That makes Skyward Atlas a strong choice as her weapon, as it provides a hefty boost to Attack and Elemental Damage. Normal Attacks have a chance of summoning an additional damage effect based on the wielder’s Attack. Kagura’s Verity with its Elemental Skill Damage boost looks like a good pick at first glance, but Charlotte’s cooldowns are too high to really make full use of the boost stacks.

If you want to fully lean into dealing damage with Charlotte, a build with a full set of Blizzard Strayer is an option, as this will maximize her own DPS output. In this case, focus on getting Critical Hit Rate, Critical Hit Damage, and Cryo Damage as stats on your artifacts.

For a more balanced approach between her offensive and healing capabilities, the classic support set Noblesse Oblige is on the table – it supports the team’s damage output, but also provides Charlotte with Attack right after using her Elemental Burst, in turn buffing her heals.

Other options for a more defensively oriented style are a full set of Tenacity of the Millelith for survivability and the supporting buffs or a mix of Gladiator’s Finale and Ocean-Hued Clam for their stat boosts to Attack and Healing Bonus.

You should get the following stat distribution on Charlotte’s artifact set if you’re aiming for a support role:

Charlotte is a great addition to Freeze or Melt teams and can act as a party’s main healer.

• Neuvillette (Main DPS), Furina (Sub DPS), Kazuha (Support), Charlotte (Support)

Already providing essential Cryo application to this Freeze team centered on Neuvillette and Furina, who create Hydro Resonance to boost the group’s HP, Charlotte additionally contributes supplementary healing to what Furina can do, allowing her to focus on dealing damage. As usual, Kazuha, Sucrose, or Lynette are there to provide crowd control and resistance shredding.

• Diluc (Main DPS), Charlotte (Sub DPS), Kazuha (Support), Bennett (Support)

This Melt team operates with Diluc as its Main DPS and Charlotte as the Sub DPS providing the necessary Cryo application. She can also support Bennett with healing the team, but her main purpose here is to act in an offensive manner. Beryl Conches are found in the wilderness of Fontaine, especially in the Salacia Plains. The best way to earn more Mora is to farm Golden Ley Line Blossoms.
