Genshin Impact Dori build and materials guide /

The best Genshin Impact Dori build provides you with unique support capabilities thanks to the greedy merchant’s handy ability to both heal and recharge allied characters. Though Dori requires a lot of HP and Energy Recharge to really be effective, her kit combines the roles of healer and battery, which in turn means you have more space on your team for someone else.

Her Elemental Skill, Spirit-Warding Lamp: Troubleshooter Cannon, deals Electro damage to opponents and creates two After-Sales Service Rounds, which will track additional enemies and deal Electro damage as well.

Dori’s Elemental Burst, Alcazarzaray's Exactitude, summons the Jinni from inside Dori’s lamp. This magical being connects to a nearby allied character to continuously heal their HP based on Dori’s maximum HP and regenerate their energy reserves. However, the character will also be affected by the Electro element, which can be a disadvantage. Any enemy touched by the connection between the Jinni and the character will suffer Electro damage. Dori’s C4 heavily upgrades her Elemental Burst and is very desirable if you want to play her.

It takes some practice to really use Dori effectively, but once you’ve got her measure she’s a very fun addition to your roster and can open some interesting team building options.

Best Dori weapons – Genshin Impact

Genshin Impact character Dori.
Dori's actual best weapon is probably money / HoYoverse

Despite her stature, Dori wields a mighty claymore in battle – we’d say this is only possible due to the helping hand of her Jinni, but little Sayu also whirls around a claymore, so kids in Teyvat just seem to be built differently. In any case, Dori requires lots of HP and Energy Recharge to be of use, so getting more of that through weapons and artifacts is a good idea.

The Sacrificial Greatsword is a very good option for Dori, since it provides Energy Recharge and allows her to skip the cooldown on her Elemental Skill, which further helps her restore energy. This way, she can activate her Elemental Burst more often to help the team.

Here are the best weapons for Dori in Genshin Impact:

  • Sacrificial Greatsword (4-star claymore)
  • Favonius Greatsword (4-star claymore)
  • The Bell (4-star claymore)
  • Katsuragikiri Nagamasa (4-star claymore)
  • Forest Regalia (4-star claymore)

Best Dori artifacts – Genshin Impact

Going by what was mentioned above, a combination of two pieces each of Emblem of Severed Fate and Tenacity of the Millelith are a great artifact set for Dori. They will provide boosts to both Energy Recharge and maximum HP, allowing Dori quicker access to her Elemental Burst and increasing her healing rate. You should aim for 200 to 300% Energy Recharge on Dori.

You should get the following stat distribution on Dori’s artifact set:

  • Flower: HP (main stat), Energy Recharge, HP %, Elemental Mastery, Attack % (secondary stats)
  • Plume: Attack (main stat), Energy Recharge, HP %, Elemental Mastery, HP (secondary stats)
  • Sands: Energy Recharge (main stat), HP %, Elemental Mastery, HP, Attack % (secondary stats)
  • Goblet: HP % (main stat), Energy Recharge, Elemental Mastery, HP, Attack % (secondary stats)
  • Circlet: HP % (main stat), Energy Recharge, Elemental Mastery, HP, Attack % (secondary stats)

Best Dori teams – Genshin Impact

Dori is definitely not a powerhouse when it comes to her own damage output, but she can enable her Main DPS to do more damage by charging up their Elemental Burst faster than would otherwise be possible.

A physical damage team around Eula is greatly helped by having Dori on board. She creates the Electro Resonance with Raiden Shogun, who is already a fantastic battery, to quickly recharge Eula’s Elemental Burst and keep her alive. This works with any other off-field Electro character like Fischl or Yae Miko as well. Shenhe or Rosaria help by further boosting Eula’s physical DPS. You can even use Rosaria as a Main DPS in this composition.

Eula / HoYoverse

  • Role: Main DPS
Eula is a fantastic Physical DPS and greatly benefits from someone supporting her Energy Recharge.

Raiden Shogun / HoYoverse

  • Role: Sub DPS
Raiden is a great battery in her own right, though having Dori along lessens the burden on her.

Shenhe / HoYoverse

  • Role: Support
Able to boost the team's physical damage output, Shenhe is a great support character for the likes of Eula.

Artwork of a young girl with blonde-glue hair.
Sangonomiya Kokomi / HoYoverse

  • Role: Main DPS
Since Kokomi will have the healing part covered despite being a Main DPS in this instance, Dori can focus on providing Energy Recharge and triggering reactions.

Artwork of a green-haired girl with a bow.
Collei / HoYoverse

  • Role: Sub DPS
Collei's off-field Dendro effects are great for a Hyperbloom team.

Artwork of a young white-haired girl.
Nahida / HoYoverse

  • Role: Support
Nahida multiplies the effectiveness of any Dendro team by a lot and helps out further by boosting the team's Elemental Mastery.

Artwork of a young woman with an eye patch.
Fischl / HoYoverse

  • Role: Sub DPS
Fischl is another popular battery, who will be glad to have such hearty assistance from Dori.

Artwork of a red-haired woman in a priestly outfit.
Yae Miko / HoYoverse

  • Role: Sub DPS
Yae Miko is a great off-field Electro character that can be used instead of Raiden or Fischl.

Genshin Impact Rosaria artwork.
Rosaria / HoYoverse

  • Role: Main DPS / Support
Rosaria can't equal Eula's DPS, but is a solid choice as the main star for a physical damage team. She can buff this damage type as well, making her a suitable support.

Dori is capable of working in a Hyperbloom composition, which allows you to perfectly control the reactions thanks to how the Jinni’s connector applies Electro effects. Kokomi, Collei, and Nahida supply the necessary Dendro Cores with their Bloom reactions.

Dori ascension materials – Genshin Impact

You’ll want to quickly raise Dori’s level when you finally get her, which means that you’ll need to farm her ascension materials. You’ll also require some material to upgrade her talents.

Here’s what you need to get Dori to level 90:

  • Vajrada Amethyst Sliver x1
  • Vajrada Amethyst Fragment x9
  • Vajrada Amethyst Chunk x9
  • Vajrada Amethyst Gemstone x6
  • Faded Red Satin x18
  • Trimmed Red Silk x30
  • Rich Red Brocade x36
  • Kalpalata Lotus x168
  • Thunderclap Fruitcore x46
  • Mora x2,092,530

Vajrada Amethysts are available from any Electro-affiliated boss on the world map, such as the Electro Regisvine. Since you’ll need the giant plant’s Thunderclap Fruitcores anyways, farming this boss kills two birds with one stone. Red Satin, Red Silk, and Red Brocade are dropped by Eremites you can find all over Sumeru.

Kalpalata Lotus grows on the sides of cliffs in Sumeru, most often near waterfalls. We have a guide on the best Kalpalata Lotus farming route, in case you don’t know where to find them. The best way to earn more Mora is to farm golden Ley Line Blossoms.

Here’s what you need to upgrade all of Dori’s talents to their maximum level:

  • Faded Red Satin x18
  • Trimmed Red Silk x66
  • Rich Red Brocade x93
  • Teachings of Ingenuity x9
  • Guide to Ingenuity x63
  • Philosophies of Ingenuity x114
  • Bloodjade Branch x18
  • Crown of Insight x3
  • Mora x4,957,500

Upgrading Dori’s talents requires additional Mora and more dead Eremites. You’ll need to visit the Steeple of Ignorance Domain in Sumeru on Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday to farm Books of Ingenuity. Bloodjade Branches are not found in Sumeru, though, and can instead by gained by defeating Azhdaha in Liyue.

Crowns of Insight are a rare item gained from time-limited events or regional reward mechanics like the Tree of Dreams in Sumeru or the Grand Narukami Shrine in Inazuma.
