You can find this hilt, once referred to as The Dragon’s Bane, deep inside the Temple of Light, after you find one of Odin’s ravens. You’ll come across a chain pulley that raises and lowers a twilight stone, as well as an elevator.

The Hilt of Gram in God of War Ragnarok.

The aim is to break the connector on the elevator to make it drop entirely, allowing you to reach the chest. Here’s how to pull it off:

  • Pull the chain so the twilight stone is fully raised, then throw your ax at it.
  • Done right, the ax should embed in the wall.
  • Now simply drop the chain, which will level the connector with your ax, still embedded in the wall.
  • Recall your ax to break it.
Recall your ax after sending the elevator back up.

The Hilt of Gram is a relic that grants you a burst of rage and applies stun to nearby enemies. It has a cool-down of 113 seconds.
