If you’re here, then a Booster is probably the only equipment item you still don’t have in Helldivers 2. Boosters have a unique slot, right next your Stratagem line-up, in your equipment menu, and you might feel like you’re underprepared if you’re leaving it empty every time you dive into a game.

In this guide we’re breaking down everything you need to know about the passive buffs that are Boosters: how to get them, which ones there are to choose from, and how best to use them in Helldivers 2.

If you want to unlock a Booster in Helldivers 2, then you should be looking at the Warbonds on the Acquisitions menu. You can unlock your first Booster on page three of the Helldivers Mobilise Warbond for 15 Medals, and there are several more Boosters to unlock throughout the Warbond and the Premium Steeled Veterans Warbond.

There are seven Boosters to earn through the Warbonds Acquisition menu at launch. See below for all of them, and what they do.

While there are definitely some Boosters here that will be more effective than others, there are a few key points to take away. For example, Booster effects apply to the entire squad and do not stack, so two players using the same Booster is pointless. If you can talk with your team about which Boosters you have available before a game, that would be a good way to prepare.

Because later Boosters require so many Medals, you probably won’t have a good variety at first. Therefore, the best Booster is one that your friends don’t also have access to.

For general play, the Vitality Enhancement, Stamina Enhancement, and Muscle Enhancement Boosters will all make the more challenging missions far easier to overcome, though you may want to be more specific about which Boosters you choose, depending on your squad composition and overall strategy.
