Hogwarts Legacy is out now, and one of the things that budding wizards and witches are most excited about is flying a broom around the world of Hogwarts. We all want to be able to fly, right? It's not the same in a plane. It's natural to dream about such things.
But once you’re able to fly, finally, there’s only one thing you could possibly want after that: go faster. Yes, the only thing better than being able to fly is being able to fly really, really fast. Just look at the history of aviation for some facts about that one.

Best broom to buy – Hogwarts Legacy
After you complete your first flying lesson and unlock the ability to ride a broom, you’ll need to buy one fron Spintwitches Sporting Goods in Hogsmeade. There’s a choice of three waiting for you, but here’s the secret: they are all in the same in terms of performance.
Simply pick the broom you like most aesthetically. Form over function, since they all function the same way.
How to unlock more brooms – Hogwarts Legacy
Having a broom is nice, but you know what’s better? Multiple brooms.
If you want more brooms, you can simply return to Spintwitches Sporting Goods and buy the other brooms on sale – the selection will expand over time to include other items, such as a broom that bares your house colors. Other vendors and merchants around the world can also sell brooms, some which are far more expensive, despite still having the same stats.
Brooms can also sometimes be gifted to you if you complete quests.
Finally, you can get brooms from completing Flying Challenges. You’ll find these in the Exploration section of the Challenges menu. The challenges you need to complete involve popping the various balloons you’ll find floating around the Hogwarts world. You can do this simply by flying into them with your broom.

A bit of a loaded question, really. The best broom in Hogwarts Legacy is the one you like the look of the most. All brooms perform the same way, and once you unlock upgrades, they will actually be applied to your entire broom selection.
How to upgrade your broom – Hogwarts Legacy
The only way to make your broom go faster is broom upgrades, and there are three in total. The proprietor of Spintwitches Sporting Goods, Albie Weekes, will offer you quests to test his broom upgrades.
This usually involves you having to complete flight challenges while flying through rings in a certain amount of time, or racing against another flyer. It’s a bit like Superman 64, really.
These broom upgrade quests will be unlocked over the course of the story gradually, so you can’t speed through this particular quest chain. Just undertake any quests from Albie Weekes as they come to you.
