Kneazles are the cute, if slightly aggressive, cat-like creatures that roam the highlands in Hogwarts Legacy. Their fur is extremely valuable, as it can be used to craft some of the most powerful traits on the loom in the Room of Requirement. This is one of the best ways to upgrade your gear in Hogwarts Legacy, so you’re going to want a fair few of them in your Vivarium.

However, like all beasts in Hogwarts Legacy, you’ll need to track down one of their dens if you want to rescue them, so we’ll show you where the easiest place is to get your hands on some. If you’re looking for a different type of beast, then check out our Hogwarts Legacy beast locations guide.

Hogwarts Legacy: Kneazle den location

Hogwarts Legacy Kneazle Den location
This is the closest Kneazle den to Hogwarts

Thankfully, there is a Kneazle den quite close to Hogwarts. Head southeast to the hamlet of Brocburrow and pass directly south through the forest. You’ll find the den just on the other side of said forest, don’t worry if you miss it, just getting close enough will mark it on your map.

Kneazles can be quite quick and difficult to capture, so make sure to cast Aresto Momentum or Glacius on them to immobilize them before you get your bag out. You should also make sure to rescue at least one male and one female Kneazle, as then you’ll be able to breed them in your Vivarium.
