Version 1.1 of Honkai: Star Rail is coming soon and will feature a couple of brand-new banners to pull additional playable characters from. If you’re not familiar with how HoYoverse is usually doing this, here’s a quick breakdown: Each version of Honkai: Star Rail has a duration of six weeks and contains two banners that each run for half of that time, so three weeks.

Each of these two banners features one 5-Star character and three 4-Star characters with boosted drop rates. Alongside these character banners run two Light Cone banners with one 5-Star Light Cone and three 4-Star Light Cones, which usually are very good options for the characters being available at the time. Just like the character banners, the Light Cone banners run for three weeks each.

Here’s everything you need to know about the Honkai: Star Rail 1.1 character and Light Cone banners.

Honkai: Star Rail 1.1 banners: Phase 1

Starting on June 7, 2023, with update 1.1’s release, you’ll be able to call upon one brand-new character:

  • Banner #1: Silver Wolf (5-Star character, Quantum, The Nihility), Asta (4-Star character, Fire, The Harmony) Dan Heng (4-Star character, Wind, The Hunt), and Serval (4-Star character, Lightning, The Erudition).
  • Banner #2: Incessant Rain (5-Star Light Cone, The Nihility), Subscribe for More! (4-Star Light Cone, The Hunt), Memories of the Past (4-Star Light Cone, The Harmony), and Make the World Clamor (4-Star Light Cone, The Erudition).

Silver Wolf – NEW

HoYoverse

Silver Wolf will be a familiar name for any Honkai: Star Rail player, being part of the game’s intro sequence with Kafka that leads to the “birth” of the Trailblazer on Herta Space Station. She’s a renowned hacker and part of the Stellaron Hunters. She’s a 5-Star character dealing Quantum Damage and following the Nihilty, so she’s specialized in debuffing enemies.

Asta

HoYoverse

Asta is the lead researcher of Herta Space Station and can buff your team’s Speed and Attack, making her a valuable support character. She is also filthy rich, coming from a family with a lot of shares in the omnipresent IPC.

Dan Heng

HoYoverse

Dan Heng is a solid 4-Star damage dealer that follows The Hunt and deals Wind Damage. He's especially great at attacking slowed enemies.

Serval

HoYoverse

Serval is a solid 4-Star character from The Erudition, who excels at applying the Shocked status effect on enemies.

Incessant Rain increases the wearer's Effect Hit Rate by 24%. When they deal damage to an enemy with three or more debuffs, Critical Hit Rate is boosted by 12%. After the wearer uses their Basic Attack, Skill, or Ultimate, there is a 100% base chance to implant Aether Code on a random target that does not have it yet. Targets affected by Aether Code receive 12% increased damage for one turn.

Honkai: Star Rail 1.1 banners: Phase 2

Phase 2 will begin on June 28, 2023, and run up to the release of update 1.2. You’ll be able to get two brand-new characters in this time period:

  • Banner #1: Luocha (5-Star character, Imaginary, The Abundance), Yukong (4-Star character, Imaginary, The Harmony), Qingque (4-Star character, Quantum, The Erudition), and Pela (4-Star character, Ice, The Nihility).
  • Banner #2: Echoes of the Coffin (5-Star Light Cone, The Abundance) and three 4-Star characters.

Luocha – NEW

HoYoverse

Luocha is another character we know a few things about, as he was playable in one of the beta tests of the game. He’s a merchant with some knowledge of medicine, who’s always traveling around with a coffin. He’s a 5-Star character, too, and dishes out Imaginary Damage. He follows the Abundance, being a healer. That role plus his ability to deal Imaginary Damage, which so far is quite a rare type, will surely propel him upwards very quickly in the Honkai: Star Rail tier list.

Yukong – NEW

HoYoverse

Yukong is the new character we know the least about, as she’s not been part of previous tests. It looks like she belongs to the same species as Tingyun. She’s going to be a 4-Star character dealing Imaginary Damage, and just like Tingyun she’s a follower of the Harmony, which means she’s going to act as a support unit for the team with some buffs.

Qingque

HoYoverse

Qingque is a bit of a lazy gambler, which is reflected in her playstyle and sometimes makes her a little less reliable than you need her to be. She can be great fun to use for the same reason as well, if you’re into the idea of using a character with gacha mechanics in your gacha game.

Pela

HoYoverse

Pela is a 4-Star character from Belobog, who is specialized in debuffing enemies by lowering their Defense, which makes her a flexible support unit for any team.

Echoes of the Coffin increases the wearer's Attack by 24%. After they use their Ultimate, all allies gain 12 Speed for one turn. Additionally, they regenerate three points of Energy for each different enemy the wearer attacks. Each attack can regenerate Energy in this way up to three times.
