Honkai: Star Rail 1.3 banners: Imbibitor Lunae, Fu Xuan, and Lynx debut
Version 1.3 of Honkai: Star Rail will go live soon, adding three new playable characters, additional quests, and lots of Simulated Universe content to the space RPG. As usual, you will be able to pull for these fresh characters from their respective banners, which are going to be available for three weeks at a time.
Each of these two banners features one 5-Star character and three 4-Star characters with boosted drop rates. Two Light Cone banners with one 5-Star Light Cone and three 4-Star Light Cones, which usually are very good options for the units available at the time, run alongside those character banners.
Here’s everything you need to know about the Honkai: Star Rail 1.3 character and Light Cone banners.
Honkai: Star Rail 1.3 banners: Phase 1
Starting on August 30, 2023, with update 1.3’s release, you’ll be able to call upon one brand-new character:
- Imbibitor Lunae (5-Star character, Imaginary, The Destruction), Yukong (4-Star character, Imaginary, The Harmony), Asta (4-Star character, Fire, The Harmony), and March 7th (4-Star character, Ice, The Preservation).
- Brighter Than the Sun (5-Star Light Cone, The Destruction), Landau's Choice (4-Star Light Cone, The Preservation), Dance! Dance! Dance! (4-Star Light Cone, The Harmony), and Planetary Rendevouz (4-Star Light Cone, The Harmony).
Imbibitor Lunae is the original form of Dan Heng and the Elder of the Vidyadhara. You can enhance Imbibitor Lunae’s Basic Attack by using his Skill, which allows him access to a few different attack modes targeting single targets or groups of enemies. He’s a little bit like Qingque without any of the randomness, making him a potent Imaginary Damage character.
Yukong is a strong support character that shines most in mono-Imaginary teams, as one of her passive abilities buffs this type of damage. Thanks to Imbibitor Lunae, you can now field a team with him, Yukong, Welt, and Luocha to make use of this talent.
Asta is another powerful support, who can boost the team’s Attack and Speed, allowing you to shuffle turn order in your favor thanks to her Ultimate – a good ability to have on your side.
March 7th remains one of the best shielders in the game and is extraordinarily useful in many constellations thanks to her ability to direct incoming damage wherever you want it to go.
Honkai: Star Rail 1.3 banners: Phase 2
Phase 2 will begin on September 19, 2023, and run up to the release update 1.4. You’ll be able to get another two brand-new characters in this time period:
- Fu Xuan (5-Star character, Quantum, The Preservation), Lynx (4-Star character, Quantum, The Abundance), Hook (4-Star character, Fire, The Destruction), and Pela (4-Star character, Ice, The Nihility).
- She Already Shut Her Eyes (5-Star Light Cone, The Preservation) and three 4-Star Light Cones.
Fu Xuan, head of the Xianzhou Luofu’s Divination Commission, may look fragile on the outside, but as a follower of The Preservation she’s acting as a tank for the team. She can absorb parts of the damage dealt to other members of the party while she’s boosting their maximum HP as well as their Critical Hit Rate.
Lynx is likely very much needed on the rosters of many players, who still only have access to Natasha as a healer. Just like her fellow Jarilo VI native, Lynx’ Skill is a single-target heal, while her Ultimate is a heal affecting the entire team. However, Lynx’ abilities hold on for a bit longer and her Skill has the added side-effect of boosting the threat level of healed characters that follow The Preservation or The Destruction, similar to how March 7th’s shield works.
Hook is a damage dealer that primarily works around applying the Burn status effect and enhancing her Basic Attack through her Ultimate.
Pela is a very solid debuffer, who reduces the enemy’s Defense and can freeze them, thus preventing a bunch of incoming damage and buying your party some valuable time.
