Another Honkai: Star Rail special program has been announced, promising a preview of things to come with the inbound 1.6 update for the space RPG. Titled “Crown of the Mundane and Divine,” this update will feature the next wave of playable Honkai: Star Rail characters and might be the final station of the Astral Express ahead of the grand Penacony expansion that was teased in the recent trailer shown at The Game Awards 2023, where the title won Best Mobile Game of 2023 – don’t forget to claim your 1,600 free Stellar Jade to celebrate!

In any case, version 1.6 looks like it could be a massive one for fans of the Simulated Universe, as the triumvirate of Herta, Ruan Mei, and Screwllum – three of the four creators of the tech – will be part of the livestream. Or, well, their voice talents PJ Mattson, Emi Lo, and Steven Kelly will be.

It's finally time for more Herta content! / HoYoverse

Honkai: Star Rail 1.6 livestream: what to expect

A trio of additional characters will join the fray with update 1.6 as Ruan Mei, Dr. Ratio, and Xueyi expand the roster of playable characters. Users will know Ruan Mei as one of the creators of the Simulated Universe and love her for the benevolent event featuring herself that she put into it. Xueyi we’ve met during the Xianzhou Luofu story and more recently during the version 1.5 event – she’s the sister of Hanya, who absolutely adores her. We know nothing about Dr. Ratio aside from the fact that his name is incredibly meme-able.

We also know that even more quality of life improvements and a new game mode called Pure Fiction will come to Honkai: Star Rail with update 1.6.

Finally, Honkai: Star Rail promo codes will be dropped during the show and enable you to stock up on additional Stellas Jade. You’re going to need them.
