Honkai: Star Rail – Asta build and ascension guide

Check out the best Light Cones and Relics for Asta in Honkai: Star Rail
HoYoverse

Satisfy your need for speed with the best Honkai: Star Rail Asta build and lead your party to glory. The Lead Researcher of Herta Space Station, Asta follows the Path of the Harmony and dishes out Fire Damage. She has a bit of a complicated past when it comes to her family, a rich dynasty deeply connected with the IPC – and while she doesn’t make her riches available to you, Asta can be unlocked as a free character early on in the game.

Her Skill, Meteor Storm, first hits the target with Fire DMG and then attacks up to four random targets with additional attacks. Each different enemy hit this way charges her Talent, Astrometry. You can attain up to five stacks of Astrometry, three of which are deleted at the start of the turn. Each stack of Astrometry increases the ATK stat of all allies, enabling Asta to buff her team.

Asta’s Ultimate, Astral Blessing, is another teamwide boost, as it increases the SPD of all allies for two turns.

Asta’s most important Eidolon levels, which are obtained by pulling duplicates of her, are levels 2, 4, and 6: They make it so that Astrometry charges are not consumed in the turn after using her Ultimate, that her Energy Regeneration Rate is increased when she has two or more of the charges, and reduce the number of deleted charges to two.

Honkai: Star Rail – Asta: best Light Cones

Asta can make great use of Bronya’s signature Light Cone, which is called The Battle Isn’t Over and perfectly complements her kit.

It boosts the wearer’s Energy Regeneration Rate, which allows them to activate their Ultimate more often. In addition, their Ultimate then recovers a Skill Point when used on an ally, which is always the case for Asta. The Light Cone also allows the wearer’s Skill to provide the ally acting next with a damage buff for one turn.

Dance! Dance! Dance! is a powerful 4-Star option that bolsters the turn manipulation aspect of Asta’s Ultimate and propels the entire team’s next actions.

Best Light Cones for Asta:

  • The Battle Isn’t Over (5-Star)
  • Dance! Dance! Dance! (4-Star)
  • Carve the Moon, Weave the Clouds (4-Star)
  • Memories of the Past (4-Star)
  • Meshing Cogs (3-Star)

Honkai: Star Rail – Asta: best Relics

Asta’s most important stats are SPD and Energy Regeneration, as they are the critical attributes for her role as a support. You can fill the rest of the slots with defensive stats to increase Asta’s survivability.

Best Relic Sets for Asta:

  • Messenger Traversing Hackerspace (4) – +6% SPD, +12% SPD for all allies for a turn when the wearer uses their Ultimate on an ally.

Best Planar Ornaments for Asta:

  • Sprightly Vonwacq (2) – +5% Energy Regeneration, the wearer's action gets advanced forward by 40% upon entering battle when their Speed is 120 or higher.

  • Head – HP (Primary), SPD, HP %, DEF %, Effect RES %

Honkai: Star Rail – Asta: best teams

While not quite as potent as the premium options, Asta is a strong support character that can be used to great effect on many different teams.

  • Firefly (Main DPS), Trailblazer (Harmony) (Support), Asta (Support), Gallagher (Support)

Asta can be quite handy to have on a Break Team, in case you don’t have Ruan Mei – or need her on another team. She provides offensive buffs, vital tempo, and is quite capable of breaking enemies thanks to her multi-hit Skill. This makes her a solid choice to accompany the core of Firefly, Trailblazer (Harmony), and Gallagher.

  • Kafka (Main DPS), Black Swan (Sub DPS), Asta (Support), Huohuo (Support)

Asta can also be a strong addition to a DoT Team. Her turn manipulation allows Kafka and Black Swan to apply DoT effects at a much faster rate, accelerating the enemies’ doom. This works all the better with Huohuo has a sustain, as she can help recharge Asta’s Ultimate more quickly.

Honkai: Star Rail – Asta: ascension materials

Here’s everything you need to know to get Asta ascended to the maximum level and upgrade all of her talents.

Asta requires the following ascension materials to get to level 80 in addition to the necessary XP:

  • Credits x246,000
  • Silvermane Badge x12
  • Silvermane Insignia x13
  • Silvermane Medal x12
  • Endotherm Chitin x50

You can collect Silvermane Badges, Insignia, and Medals from enemies in the Outlying Snow Plains and the Corridor of Fading Echoes as well as the Simulated Universe. You can create or exchange them through the Omni-Synthesizer on the Astral Express, too. Silvermane Badges are one of the materials you can easily farm through the Daily Assignments to your characters, making for a steady income of the material.

Endotherm Chitin is dropped from the Stagnant Shadow (Silvermane Guard Restricted Zone) or gained through exchange. The best source of Credits are the Golden Calyxes across the cosmos.

Asta requires the following materials to upgrade her combat abilities and Traces:

  • Credits x2,400,000
  • Silvermane Badge x28
  • Silvermane Insignia x42
  • Silvermane Medal x42
  • Harmonic Tune x12
  • Ancestral Hymn x54
  • Stellaris Symphony x105
  • Destroyer’s Final Road x12
  • Tracks of Destiny x5

For the materials already mentioned, check above. Harmonic Tune, Ancestral Hymn, and Stellaris Symphony can be farmed in the Crimson Calyx (Robot Settlement) in Belobog’s Underworld. As usual, you can create the high-level materials by using up lower-level materials in the Omni-Synthesizer on the Astral Express.

Destroyer’s Final Road is the boss material gained from the Echo of War (Supply Zone) domain on Herta Space Station, while Tracks of Destiny can be obtained during time-limited events, the Embers Exchange, the Nameless Honor, or as a Simulated Universe Points Reward.
