Even the free version of the Battle Pass has quite useful items like Fuel and Star Rail Passes in store, though of course the paid variant comes with additional goodies. Honkai: Star Rail – best Battle Pass Light Cones

Carve the Moon, Weave the Clouds – Harmony

HoYoverse
At the start of the battle and whenever the wearer's turn begins, one of the following effects is applied randomly: All allies' ATK increases by 10%, all allies' CRIT DMG increases by 12%, or all allies' Energy Regeneration Rate increases by 6%. The applied effect cannot be identical to the last effect applied, and will replace the previous effect. The applied effect will be removed when the wearer has been knocked down. Effects of the similar type cannot be stacked.

Carve the Moon, Weave the Clouds is one of the best Harmony Light Cones available in the game at the moment, as it always provides something quite useful to the team.

Useful for:

Today is Another Peaceful Day – Erudition

HoYoverse
After entering battle, increases the wearer's DMG based on their Max Energy. DMG increases by 0.2% per point of Energy, up to 160 Energy.

Today is Another Peaceful Day is one of the best Erudition Light Cones by far and it’s a fantastic asset for anyone who wants to get the most out of Qingque in particular.

Useful for:

We Will Meet Again – Nihility

HoYoverse
After the wearer uses Basic ATK or Skill, deals Additional DMG equal to 48% of the wearer's ATK to a random enemy that has been attacked.

We Will Meet Again is an okay, but not great option for some Nihility characters at the moment, giving them a bit more attack power to increase the team’s damage output.

Useful for:

Nowhere to Run – Destruction

HoYoverse
Increases the wearer's ATK by 24%. Whenever the wearer defeats an enemy, they restore HP equal to 12% of their ATK.

Nowhere to Run is okay for some Destruction characters, as it increases both their offensive power and their survivability.

Useful for:

Warmth Shortens Cold Nights – Abundance

HoYoverse
Increases the wearer's Max HP by 16%. When using Basic ATK or Skill, restores all allies' HP by an amount equal to 2% of their respective Max HP.

Warmth Shortens Cold Nights provides a nice bit of bonus healing. While it’s not much overall, it could turn out to be critical in some situations.

Useful for:

This is Me! – Preservation

HoYoverse
Increases the wearer's DEF by 16%. Increases the DMG of the wearer when they use their Ultimate by 60% of the wearer's DEF. This effect can only apply 1 time per enemy target.

At the moment, This is Me! mainly serves March 7th, so this should only be your choice if you’re using our trusty companion from the Astral Express crew a lot.

Useful for:

Return to Darkness – Hunt

HoYoverse
Increases the wearer's CRIT Rate by 12%. After a CRIT Hit, there is a 16% fixed chance to dispel 1 buff on the target enemy. This effect can only trigger 1 time per attack.

Providing useful stats and a dispel, Return to Darkness is a solid if not outstanding option for characters following this Path.

Useful for:

A lot will depend on which characters and Light Cones you already have in your possession. The great thing about the Battle Pass is that you are not depending on the gacha to give you the right piece of equipment. It's all in your hands, so you should go over your roster, think about which areas are lacking, and use this pick to fill that hole.

Overall, the choices for The Erudition and The Harmony stand out as the best.
