The world of Honkai: Star Rail is full of little secrets and surprises that need to be discovered by interacting with the environment and characters. You won’t get any quest markers for many of these little stories, making them difficult to find if you’re not carefully going through every level.

Herta Space Station, the starting point of your journey through Honkai: Star Rail, harbors quite a few of these secrets – no wonder, really, as Herta uses the station to store her curio collection. Indeed, a teleporting toilet is only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to Madame Herta’s items.

Fortunately, some of these curios prove a bit more useful and can help you solve some of the mysteries you encounter on your way. One of these is a strange voice you hear as you explore Herta Space Station. Here’s where you come upon this phenomenon and how you solve it.

How to understand the strange voice on Herta Space Station

HoYoverse

You encounter this mysterious voice on the upper level of the Storage Zone on Herta Space Station. Go to the room in the top right corner of that area and you’ll find a cage-like structure with a readable item in it.

HoYoverse

As you enter the cage to grab it, the voice can be heard speaking. However, you don’t know the language it’s using, so it sounds unintelligible to you. Taking a language course with one of the researchers on the station might be an option, but would likely take a little too long. Fortunately, one of Madame Herta’s curios can help you out.

HoYoverse

Get yourself to the lower level of the Storage Zone and once again go to the room in the top right corner of the area. You should find a storage room here with all sorts of interesting items.

HoYoverse

If you look to the shelf on the left side, you’ll find a crown-like item in one of the containers. Get close and interact with it and choose to use its powers.

As an aside, interacting with the first curio in the room by repeatedly tapping it will eventually lead to it being repaired and you getting a reward, so go ahead and get all touchy-feely.

Once you’ve sated your curiosity in this room, get back to the room with the strange cage, stand in the middle of it, and tap the button to start an interaction. You can finally understand what the voice was trying to tell you and will be rewarded with an achievement.
