Honkai: Star Rail – Lynx build and ascension guide
Contents
Help out your friends in need with the best Honkai: Star Rail Lynx build and add another healer to your collection. Lynx is the younger sister of Serval and Gepard, deals Quantum Damage, and is a follower of The Abundance. She’s only the second 4-Star healer after Natasha, who was in the game from launch, making her a welcome addition to the playable Honkai: Star Rail characters.
Lynx’s Skill, Salted Camping Cans, provides the Survival Response effect to an ally for two turns, increasing their Maximum HP based on her own Maximum HP in addition to restoring their HP based on the same stat. If Survival Response is used on a Preservation character, their chance of being attacked is boosted.
Her Ultimate, Snowfield First Aid, heals all allies based on Lynx’s Maximum HP and dispels one debuff from everybody.
Lynx’s Talent, Outdoor Survival Experience, applies continuous healing for two turns to the target or targets after using her Skill or Ultimate. Again, this healing is based on her own Maximum HP. Targets affected by Survival Response regain additional HP.
Her Eidolon Levels, which can be raised by obtaining additional copies of her, provide further boosts to her abilities. Eidolon 1 increases the Outgoing Healing when healing characters below 50% of their Maximum HP. Eidolon 2 allows characters with Survival Response to withstand one debuff application. Eidolon 4 increases the Attack of characters with Survival Response by 3% of Lynx’s Maximum HP. Eidolon 6 increases the amount of Maximum HP added by Survival Response and increases the target’s Effect Resistance by 30%.
Honkai: Star Rail – Lynx: best Light Cones
Lynx wants the stats pretty much every healer wants: Maximum HP and Outgoing Healing. That makes the signature Light Cone of Bailu, Time Waits for No One, your best choice for her, as it boosts both of these values. In addition, this Light Cone converts some of that healing into more damage when allies attack.
Best Light Cones for Lynx:
- Time Waits for No One (5-Star)
- Night of Fright (5-Star)
- Hey, Over Here (4-Star)
- Warmth Shortens Cold Nights (4-Star)
- Post-Op Conversation (4-Star)
- Cornucopia (3-Star)
Honkai: Star Rail – Lynx: best Relics
Just like with Light Cones, you’ll want to supply Lynx with more HP and Outgoing Healing through the Relics and Planar Ornaments you equip her with.
Best Relic Sets for Lynx:
- Passerby of Wandering Cloud (2) + Longevous Disciple (2) – +10% Outgoing Healing and +12% Maximum HP.
- Passerby of Wandering Cloud (4) – +10% Outgoing Healing, immediately regenerates one Skill Point at the start of the battle.
Best Planar Ornaments for Lynx:
- Fleet of the Ageless (2) – +12% Maximum HP, +8% Attack for all allies when the wearer’s Speed reaches 120 or higher.
- Broken Keel (2) – +10% Effect Resistance, +10% Critical Hit Damage for all allies when the wearer’s Effect Resistance is 30% or higher.
Prioritize the following Relic and Planar Ornament stats for Lynx:
- Head – HP (Primary), HP %, Speed, Defense %, Effect Resistance %
- Hands – Attack (Primary), HP %, Speed, Defense %, Effect Resistance %
- Body – Outgoing Healing % (Primary), HP %, Speed, Defense %, Effect Resistance %
- Feet – Speed (Primary), HP %, Defense %, Effect Resistance %, HP
- Planar Sphere – HP % (Primary), Speed, Defense %, Effect Resistance %, HP
- Link Rope – Energy Regeneration Rate % (Primary), HP %, Speed, Defense %, Effect Resistance %
Honkai: Star Rail – Lynx: best teams
Lynx, of course, takes on the role of healer for any team she’s part of. You can pretty much use her whenever you’d use Natasha, Bailu, or Luocha.
- Seele (Main DPS), Silver Wolf (Support), Fu Xuan (Support), Lynx (Support)
Lynx and Fu Xuan coming out brings the number of Quantum Damage characters up to five, so you can now build an entire team with them, provided you have four of them. This line-up is quite potent, because it can fight any opponent in the game and inflict Weakness Break on them due to Silver Wolf being able to create Quantum Weakness on them. Seele or Quinque provide the damage, Fu Xuan is the tank, and Lynx is the healer. Lynx can also direct incoming damage to Fu Xuan, since the latter is a Preservation character, making them work very well together.
Honkai: Star Rail – Lynx: ascension materials
Here’s everything you need to know to get Lynx ascended to the maximum level and upgrade all of her Traces.
Lynx requires the following ascension materials to get to level 80 in addition to the necessary XP:
- Credits x246,000
- Extinguished Core x12
- Glimmering Core x13
- Squirming Core x12
- Nail of the Ape x50
You can obtain Extinguished, Glimmering, and Squirming Cores from enemies on Herta Space Station as well as the Simulated Universe. You can create or exchange them through the Omni-Synthesizer on the Astral Express, too. Extinguished Cores are one of the base materials you can easily farm through the Daily Assignments to your characters, making for a consistent income of the material.
Nail of the Ape is dropped by the Stagnant Shadow in Scalegorge Waterscape or gained through exchange. The best source of Credits is the Golden Calyx in the Great Mine.
Lynx requires the following materials to upgrade her combat abilities and Traces:
- Credits x2,400,000
- Extinguished Core x28
- Glimmering Core x42
- Squirming Core x42
- Seed of Abundance x12
- Sprout of Life x54
- Flower of Eternity x105
- Regret of Infinite Ochema x12
- Tracks of Destiny x8
For the materials already mentioned, check above. Seeds of Abundance, Sprouts of Life, and Flowers of Eternity can be farmed in the Crimson Calyx in Backwater Pass. As usual, you can create the high-level materials by using up lower-level materials in the Omni-Synthesizer on the Astral Express.
Regret of Infinite Ochema is a boss material only gained from the Echo of War (Scalegorge Waterscape) domain by defeating Phantylia, while Tracks of Destiny can be obtained during time-limited events, the Embers Exchange, the Nameless Honor, or as a Simulated Universe Points Reward.
