Here’s what the Merchant’s Guild and Circle of Fortune have to offer
Last Epoch Item Factions: all ranks and rewards
Last Epoch Item Factions: all ranks and rewards /

Details on the Item Factions of Last Epoch have finally been revealed. This system allows players of the ARPG to choose between joining the Merchant’s Guild and the Circle of Fortune, which both offer different ways of acquiring  gear, thus catering to two different playstyles.

The Merchant’s Guild is the best option for those who like to trade and bargain, scouring shelves of items for the perfect piece of equipment for their current build. The Circle of Fortune is perfect for the item hunters among you who prefer to rip the perfect items from the cold, dead hands of their enemies.

Though you can switch between these factions, sticking with one over a longer period of time is best, since both feature a ranking system that offers more functionality and better benefits when you climb it. To make the decision easier for you, we have all Item Faction ranks and rewards in Last Epoch right here for you.

Last Epoch: Merchant’s Guild ranks

Bazaar in Last Epoch.
The Merchant Guild operates from the Bazaar / Eleventh Hour Games

You can level up your rank within the Merchant’s Guild simply by playing the game, though you’ll earn more Reputation by engaging with the faction’s mechanics, in effect by trading and selling.

Upgrading your rank not only will unlock additional functions of the Merchant’s Guild. Since items bought or sold through this faction gain a rank requirement, climbing the mercantile ladder is the best way to guarantee that you’ll actually be able to use the gear you’re buying.

  • Rank 1: Trade Basic Items – Buy and sell Normal, Magic, and Rare items in the Bazaar or directly with other players.
  • Rank 2: Trade Set Items – Buy and sell Set Items in the Bazaar or directly with other players.
  • Rank 3: Trade Specific Unique Items – Buy and sell Unique items with no Legendary Potential in the Bazaar or directly with other players.
  • Rank 4: Trade Idols – Buy and sell Idols in the Bazaar or directly with other players.
  • Rank 5: Trade Exalted Weapons – Buy and sell Exalted Weapons in the Bazaar or directly with other players.

Last Epoch: Circle of Fortune ranks

Observatory in the Last Epoch.
The Circle of Fortune is at home in the Observatory / Eleventh Hour Games

Things work similarly within the Circle of Fortune: Your Reputation will grow simply by playing, but you can boost that growth by using the faction’s mechanics to enhance your item hunts.

The Circle of Fortune will grant you access to powerful passive bonuses as you upgrade your faction rank on top of unlocking additional functionalities in the form of Lenses. Like Prophecies, these are a tool that help you seek out specific items from loot.

  • Rank 1: Enemy Item Drop Chance – Enemies have a 35% chance of dropping twice as many items.
  • Rank 2: Upgraded Rune of Ascendance – 45% chance for Runes of Ascendance to be preserved when used on an item that requires at least Circle of Fortune Rank 1. Unlock First Lens Slot and unlock “Increased Chance of Specific Item Type Prophecy” Lenses for purchase.
  • Rank 3: Idol Drop Chance – Whenever an Idol drops, there is a 25% chance for two more to drop at the same time. Unlock “Block Activity Type” Lenses for purchase.
  • Rank 4: Exalted Affix Chance – Affixes are 50% more likely to be Exalted. Unlock “Increased chance of specific Item Rarity Prophecy” Lenses for purchase.
  • Rank 5: Monolith Echo Reward Upgrade – 35% chance for double rewards from Monolith Echoes. Unlock Second Lens Slot and unlock “Block High Corruption (50+)” Lenses for purchase.
  • Rank 6: Legendary Potential Chance – Uniques are twice as likely to have Legendary Potential.
  • Rank 7: T7 Affix Chance – T7 Affixes are twice as common. Unlock Special Greater Lens “Prophecies cost 80% more Favor and have twice as many uses”.
  • Rank 8: Rare to Exalted Chance – Items that would drop as Rare above level 44 have a 25% chance of becoming Exalted. Unlock Special Greater Lens “Prophecies cost 90% more Favor and have double rewards-type”.
  • Rank 9: Full Set Drop Chance – When a Set item would drop, the whole set drops instead. Unlock Third Lens Slot.
  • Rank 10: Prophecy Reward Upgrade – Items from Prophecies are duplicated.

Equipped with that information, you should be able to make the perfect choice for your own style of play in Last Epoch. Item Factions will be available with the game’s full release on February 21, 2024.
