After a little while in LEGO Fortnite, stone just won’t do the job. If you want the truly great materials for tools in the game then you’re going to have to switch to gems. Amber is the first tier of gem you can harvest, and you can use it to craft tools like the Rare Pickaxe, which you’ll need if you want to get Flexwood in LEGO Fortnite.

We’ll tell you where to get Rough Amber and how to turn it into Cut Amber that you can use to craft with.

How to get Cut Amber in LEGO Fortnite

LEGO Fortnite Amber
Rough Amber in the Dry Valley can be turned into Cut Amber in LEGO Fortnite / Epic Games via Perfect Score

Venture out from your humble home and you’ll eventually stumble upon the Dry Valley biome, a badlands-like area full of stone pillars. Use some stairs to climb to the top of one of these stone pillars (make sure you bring some wood to build them) and you’ll find multiple deposits of Amber, which you can break with an Uncommon Pickaxe to get Rough Amber.

Gather up a decent amount and then you’ll be able to craft a Gem Cutter using Marble Slabs, Sand Claws, and Sand Shells. Once it’s made you can stick the Rough Amber inside and get Cut Amber out for all your crafting needs.
