If you’ve ever played a survival crafting game before, then it will be no surprise to you that going inside caves is an important part of progression. Under the ground is where you can find a whole host of resources and monsters that drop important materials for you to continue to expand your village.

They’re not quite as easy to find as they are in games like Minecraft though, so we’ll explain how to find caves in LEGO Fortnite, so you can go exploring.

Cave entrances can be found just about anywhere in LEGO Fortnite / Epic Games

Rather than being open holes in the ground like some other games, caves are a separate area in LEGO Fortnite that you have to go through a short loading screen to reach. This means that rather than finding holes in the ground you can dive into, you’ll instead need to find dedicated entrances.

Thankfully, they’re quite big, as they look like massive rock formations coming straight out of the ground, and on one side you’ll see an opening that goes deeper, with stalactites jutting down from above. Once inside you’ll face a bunch of monsters, but also important resources – for example, this is how to get Knotroot in LEGO Fortnite – but different biomes offer different materials in their caves.
