Iron is needed in LEGO Fortnite to make some of the most advanced and exciting contraptions, but as you can imagine, it’s not a simple task to get your hands on it. Having a good stock of Iron can make your village more prosperous than ever, so we’ll tell you where you should go to find it, and how to make the most of your trip.

Iron is hidden in the Frostlands in LEGO Fortnite / Epic Games via Perfect Score

Like most of the late-game materials in LEGO Fortnite, you’ll find it in the Frostlands biome, a frigid place full of tall mountains. Make sure you read our guide on how to survive the cold in LEGO Fortnite so you don’t have to worry too much about it.

You should bring a lot of wood too, as you’ll need to craft plenty of stairs to reach the higher peaks as you search for an ice cave, as that is what hides the Iron Ore you seek. It’s pretty easy to spot once you’re in there as it has a silver metallic glow on the ore, as well as a slight orange tint that contrasts with the blue ice walls around it.

You will need an Epic Pickaxe to break it though, so make sure you’ve upgraded your LEGO Fortnite Crafting Bench so you can harvest as much as you need.
