Three measly hearts don’t seem like a lot when you first start in LEGO Fortnite, and you’re right, it’s not. You won’t get too far in battle if you don’t seek out extra hearts, especially against some of the game’s tougher enemies. Luckily there’s an easy way to increase your maximum health, and we’ll explain just how it’s done.

One of the earliest recipes you’ll pick up is for a Health Charm. The most basic version is crafted with three Silk Threads, three Bones, and five Wolf Claws, and equipping it will give you one extra heart alongside a bit of extra defense.

However, as you upgrade your Crafting Bench in LEGO Fortnite, you will unlock better versions of the charm that give you more hearts and defense. Plus, there are extra items like the Cold-Headed Charm that give you extra hearts as well as bonuses like heat resistance.

You have three equipment slots in your bar on the right-hand side of the inventory screen, so you can have three Health Charms equipped at once to get your max HP as high as it can go.
