One material you’ll find particularly useful pretty early on in LEGO Fortnite is Shells. These items are not only mandatory to upgrade your Crafting Bench in LEGO Fortnite, but they’re part of crafting some other useful items like the Health Charm, which increases both your max HP and your defense.

The thing is, even when you know how to get Shells, finding the required enemy can be a bit tricky, so we’ll explain both how to get Shells, and how to find the enemy that drops them.

Shells are a valuable crafting material in LEGO Fortnite / Epic Games

To get Shells, you’ll need to find and kill Rollers. These crab-like enemies disguise themselves as rocks in the overworld and attack by charging at you at full speed. They can be pretty dangerous, as if they hit you with their rolling attack and you’re not blocking, it will do a heart and a half of damage.

It’s worth the risk though, as killing one is guaranteed to drop a Shell.

Rollers are tricky to find and trickier to fight in LEGO Fortnite / Epic Games

Rollers are by their nature hard to spot, as they try to disguise themselves as rocks. The first thing you need to know is that they only spawn in Grassland biomes, so don’t bother looking for them elsewhere. As for spotting them, they don’t quite look like normal rocks, instead, they stick up out of the ground a little bit more and have green/yellow plants sprouting out the top of their heads.
