If you want to trek out into the desert in LEGO Fortnite then you’re going to need to have a way to stay cool, otherwise you could quickly find yourself in a pickle. Being too hot or cold can slow you down and even kill you, so you need to know how to regulate your temperature. We’ve already covered how to survive the cold in LEGO Fortnite if you need to know that, but here we’re focusing on heat.

We’ll tell you how to keep yourself cool in the harsh sunlight so you can explore the desert without worry.

How to survive the heat in LEGO Fortnite

LEGO Fortnite Cold-Headed Charm
The Cool-Headed Charm is an easy way to stay cool in LEGO Fortnite / Epic Games

You can resist heat pretty easily with an early-game recipe called the Cold-Headed Charm, which you can craft with three Silk Threads, which you can get by weaving silk in a loom; three Sand Shells, obtained by killing Sand Rollers on the beach; and one Marble, check out our guide on how to get Marble in LEGO Fortnite at that link.

Putting this charm in one of your equipment slots will give you heat resistance, three extra hearts, and some extra defense to boot.

Alternatively, you can head over to the outskirts of the Frostlands biome and pick up some Snow Berries. Eating one of these will give you two minutes of heat resistance, which can be increased if you cook it into a dish.
