When you first see the Puppet of the Future in Lies of P, it can be quite intimidating given its size, but it’s much easier than it looks. Preparing to fight it is a different matter, as it can be quite difficult to figure out how to get to it without succumbing to Decay. If you’re struggling with this, don’t worry, we’ve got you covered.

Here is everything you need to know about defeating the Puppet of the Future boss in Lies of P.

Puppet of the Future – Lies of P

You’ve probably seen the big Puppet of the Future already tramping around, but it is deep in a pool of water that causes Decay. You’ll want to clear this out before you fight it or you will really struggle. It is possible to run right past it and to the chest to grab the Booster Glaive before the Decay ever sets in, but defeating it will reward you with some extra goodies.

From the Stargazer at Venigni Works Control Room you will want to go back to the Red Fox and enter the door on your right. Take a left at the end until you see some red pipes, with some rather annoying puppets inside that drop down. You’ll want to take them all out using the Electric Coil Stick, as you’ll be running back this way soon. Once in the pipes, make a left, and you’ll see a flashing red light at the end of a corridor.

Run down here quickly and unlock the shortcut on the left. A rather angry and fiery puppet will run out of here with a shovel, and he’s a pretty tough cookie. You can use the shortcut to run in a circle back to where he came from. Here is a lever that will drain the pool below the Puppet of the Future. Shovel man will keep chasing you, so quickly run back to safety.

After this, you can drop down into the area where the Puppet of the Future is. Defeating it is actually the easier part of this, as it has a very long wind-up on each attack. Use the Electric Coil again to deal big damage, sticking right next to its feet. You’ll have to dodge out of the way of its stomping, though, as it will likely nearly one-shot you depending on how you have leveled up. Still, this is possibly one of the easier boss fights in the game as long as you drain the pool beneath it first.
