Goro Majima has long been one of the most popular characters in the Yakuza / Like a Dragon series, and fans are always on the lookout for him in every game. Screenshots have come out of a rather homeless-looking Majima, but we don’t know what part he will play in the story.

Here’s everything you need to know about Majima’s role in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, and if it isn’t already obvious, this article contains minor spoilers about Majima’s role in the story, so read at your own risk.

Goro Majima in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth

Everyone’s favorite former yakuza member plays a small yet significant role in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth. However, he only appears very late in the game. You can first encounter him in Chapter 12: For Ol’ Times Sake after you take the train in Ijincho to visit Dojima. Without too many spoilers, you find Dojima, Majima, and Saejima living out in the middle of nowhere and ask them to join your cause.

You will then fight – with your current party – all three Jima bros, and it’s best to be prepared for this. All three pack a punch, and our boy Majima can split into three at will, tripling his damage. This fight is mandatory, and you will need to win it in order to continue with the game. After you beat the boys, you can then invite them to Dondoko Island.

Majima and co. return again in Chapter 14, and they will fight alongside you this time. You won’t be able to control the Jima bros, but their damage output is very much welcome. Overall, Majima has a very small part in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth’s story, but we’ll never pass on the chance to see our best boy.
