In Like a Dragon: Ishin! there are seemingly unlimited places to explore in the old city of Kyo. It might feel impossible to decide what to prioritize, but if you want to see everything the story has to offer, then you will have to bond with everyone in the city. Not only do you get a number of crafting items if you do so, but many shop owners will also extend their inventory for you.

- Utamaruya Owner
- North Fushimi Ichibangai, Fushimi
- Sing a number of karaoke songs until he will no longer serve you. Leave the bar and come back later when he’s stood outside to complete the quest.
- Umai Udon Owner
- Fushimi Ichibangai, Fushimi
- Order udon once, then return. Complete the ‘All in the hips’ side story. After this, keep playing the udon minigame to complete the bond.
- Maijo Sensei
- Nichibuza, Kawaramachi, Rakunai
- Complete ‘Nichibuza’s newest fan’ substory which starts outside Nichibuza. After, dance at Nichibuza until you complete a performance there.
- Shinto Priest
- Fushimi Shrine / Rakunai Shrine
- You will meet the Shinto Priest near Fushimi Shrine where he will teach you about Virtue. After this, exchange Virtue at the shrine for ‘Shinto Priest’s Exchange’. You can see the priest at Rakunai Shrine to purchase items and complete the bond.
- Akari
- Rakunai Shrine
- After you have opened the ‘Shinto Priest’s Exchange’ Akari will appear at Rakunai Shrine. Talk to her until the bond completes.

- Keep eating here to complete the bond. The easiest way is to order one bowl at a time.
- Anna
- Yamabuki brothel, Gion
- Keep visiting Anna to complete this bond, but it costs 1 ryo each time. You can wait until you finish the main story and get your 200 ryo reward. Anna plays three mini-games with you. For the drinking game you need to mash the buttons to raise or lower the cup. The second is Rock/Paper/Scissors. You can see which one Anna will use by watching her left hand. For the third game, you have to aim for the heart.

- Play Shogi several times. If you lose every game you will still complete the bond.
- Chicken Race Receptionist
- Umekojicho, Rakugai
- For this you need to win chicken race bets. The easiest way to win, is to bet on the chicken with the best odds for single wins. Leave every time you win.
- Ichikura Owner
- Fushimi Ichibangai, Fushimi
- Buy things from the store. Easiest way is to buy 5-10 items each time.
- Sushi Zanmai Chef
- Kawaramachi, Rakunai
- Eat here. Easiest is to order one dish at a time.
- Fukufuku Pub Owner
- Fushimi Ichibangai
- Keep drinking here to complete the bond.
- Ecchudo Apothecary
- Kawaramachi, Rakunai
- Make a purchase, and agree to test his new medicine. Allow him to test it on you several times. This unlocks ‘Longevity Pill’ on sale.
- Uji Tea Parlor Girl
- West Umekojicho, Rakugai
- Eat here several times.

- Purchase items here. Unlocks ‘Worn Sword’ which can craft some of the game’s best weapons.
- Palaquin Bearer
- Various locations
- Take the Palaquin until a cutscene plays. Completing the bond unlocks a new stop at ‘Rakugai Kamo River’.
- Momokawa Brothers
- Shippoku Momokawa, East Shijo Street, Rakunai
- Eat here until they prepare a special meal.
