Millennia roadmap: all upcoming expansions
Millennia roadmap: all upcoming expansions /

C Prompt Games and Paradox Interactive have announced the release date of Millennia recently and opened the game’s pre-orders. This includes the option of a Premium Edition, which comes with the first Expansion Pass for Millennia. It’s a similar recipe as for games like Crusader Kings 3 and Age of Wonders 4: Purchase the Expansion Pass and every upcoming DLC that’s part of it will be automatically unlocked when it’s available. That’s often a better deal than buying them all separately, though it comes with the risk of not exactly knowing all the details about the content.

Fortunately, the Millennia roadmap for its Expansion Pass already has some information on the planned DLC as well as release windows, which you can check below.

Don't worry, you won't have to wait that long for new Millennia content :: C Prompt Games / Paradox Interactive

Millennia DLC 1: Ancient Worlds

  • Planned to be released in Q3 2024.

Ancient Worlds will contain a completely new start option, allowing you to begin the game as a tribe of nomads instead of with a city. It also comes with an additional National Spirit, economic Good, and more National Starting Bonuses.

Here is the official description of Ancient Worlds:

Take your first uncertain steps in a new era for humanity in Millennia: Ancient Worlds. Take control of your people before their first settlement, while they still wander as nomads.

Millennia DLC 2: Atomic Ambitions

  • Planned to be released in Q4 2024.

Atomic Ambitions will add two more Ages to the game, further enhancing the variety of your playthroughs. Another National Spirit is on the agenda as well. Finally, the DLC will expand the Strategic Warfare System with some nuclear options.

Here is the official description of Atomic Ambitions:

Unlock the mysteries of the atom and change the world forever in Millennia: Atomic Ambitions. The Premium edition adds ways to harness the power of the atom for the good of all humankind, but, there are also ways to turn the planet into a fallout-filled wasteland if you aren’t careful.

We’ll keep this roadmap updated with all the plans C Prompt Games and Paradox Interactive are communicating.
