Lapis Lazuli is one of the most important resources in Minecraft Legends, as you need it to spawn in units, and you can’t defeat the Piglins without them. You’ll need to stock up as much as possible before every battle, or you risk running out of troops before you break through. Thankfully, Lapis is in plentiful supply, you just need to know where to look.

We’ve put this guide together on where to get Lapis so that you’ll never be caught out of a fight ever again.

The easiest way to get Lapis is to open village chests. Every village will have a chest that slowly gathers resources for you over time. Which other resources they give you are random, but they’re guaranteed to always give Lapis.

Minecraft Legends Village

Once you’ve looted a village chest it will take a little while to refill, but if you get into a good rhythm of collecting from every village, then those chests will all be full again by the time you need to restock.

You can even make this easier by getting the shared chest upgrade at the Well of Fate, which will mean that looting one village chest will give you the resources in all of them across the entire world.

Minecraft Legends Piglins

If you’re ever in a pinch and just need a few more bits of Lapis for your army, then Piglins also regularly drop Lapis when killed. They only ever drop one at a time though, so it’s not particularly reliable.
